The service and food was okay. They brought out a wrong desert and forgot someone's desert. The chairs were closely packed and being back-to-back with another group was uncomfortable. The food was okay but nothing to write home about. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They weren't accepting cards on the day, and had to bank transfer money across which was odd.

Well I would like to share the experience but we arrived to a locked pub and then had to find somewhere else to eat having driven all the way...not happy!

We had a very nice meal last Sunday with family, including grandchildren. We are very fond of the carvery, the meat is always tender with plenty of lovely vegetables, especially the cauliflower cheese! The puddings are also very nice. One thing we did find disappointing was that there were no cheese and biscuits on the menu. One of our party is not a "pudding person" but loves his cheese and biscuits! We have visited this venue on a couple of occasions last year for lunch and enjoyed the experience also.

Went to the Honest Miller for Christmas lunch and was not disappointed. Food was fantastic and the staff were a pleasure. Food was well presented and served in a timely, but in no way hurried manner. Beer selection was good and the location is great. I am looking forward to a few nice summer evenings here as the beer garden is a nice place to watch the world not go by ( quiet location). Make the effort to visit!!!

One of the best pubs around, set in lovely countryside, very good menu and always enjoy the excellent food. Rustic but a very high standard decor, cosy interior. Friendly staff and good service.

Disappointed, arrived at the pub, don't think they were expecting us as I had booked online. Thought it was expensive for what it was. Not a wide range of food on the menu.

I booked through OpenTable, but called them to amend. They had no record of our booking, so do check that they have your booking. The young lady was very helpful and booked my group in again, albeit over an hour later. However, she did not mention that they have live music in the bar/dining area on a Sunday and as this is only a small space. Beware if you are hoping to talk to fellow guests! Luckily being booked later than originally planned did mean that we didn't have long to wait for the music to end. The music was pleasant enough, but made it impossible for us to communicate with each other whilst they were playing. We all plumped for the Sunday carvery and it was delicious and excellent value for money. I can highly recommend it. The puddings too were superb. I would definitely return, perhaps for a lunch or dinner another day of the week.

I visited here with my family on a Saturday evening, the food was fantastic (we cant believe we haven't tried here before seeing as we live 10 minutes away) , I tried the local wine which was lovely. The childrens menu had a good selection (we find some restaurants offer only a very basic childs menu) and the food was excellently presented on wooden boards and cooked to perfection. Staff were very attentive even though the restaurant was fully booked, and very friendly, overall we had a lovely evening in a cosy welcoming venue, thankyou we will be back!

well, after booking for two birthdays to celebrate we all was very disappointed, booked for 6 plus high chair and when arrived at 1800 we were shown a table not made up for service and was told that there was a quiz night this quiz night really took over the night and we thought that after booking the table we should have been warned, then came the service by a strange man who wasn't at all happy and the food came up at 1900hrs it was very poor, two lamb meals were raw, not cooked at all, we have eaten in some very well know establishments and do frequently so know lamb comes up raw/medium but this was very bloody and not even shown the cooker, thus all the lamb was left and we could see the kitchen and "gareth" noticed the plates go back with all the meat on them but did not come out to find out why or even mention anything "gareth" should perhaps concentrate on his diners rather than the nibbles for the quiz night. rest of food was ok but nothing to rave about, we all felt very disappointed and let down after travelling so far and expecting "gareth cox at the miller" to wow us with something but the whole experience was very below par. shall we go back never, and thats the opinion of all of us, over priced, very poor quality of staff and food just not good enough, the mulberry tree in maidstone knocked this place for 6 and perhaps the honest miller should take tips for them.
