  • Great for brunch
  • Good for groups
Permanently Closed - Kopapa is an all day restaurant located in Seven Dials, Covent Garden and is the second London offering from world-renowned chef Peter Gordon, co-founder of The Providores & Tapa Room in Marylebone Village. Kopapa serves fantastic breakfasts all week and is truly one of London's hottest brunch spots at weekends.

The all day menu offer is an international culinary adventure and a showcase for Peter’s wonderful cuisine. Whether it’s a mid-week lunch, pre-theatre supper, or a special dinner with a group of friends, Kopapa offers an exciting dining experience in the heart of the West End. The cocktail offering is innovative, the wine list concise but comprehensive and the bar - one of theatre land's best. And if sitting and sipping as the world passes by is your thing, the outdoor terrace provides Covent Garden’s best vantage point. Kopapa also offers delicious post theatre supper - and remember, we are always happy to cater for larger groups and children.

Really enjoyed the food, cocktails and atmosphere at Kopapa. Struggled to choose as there were several things on the menu I fancied! Good service, not expensive.

Staff are very good, but what let things down for me was that our main arrived before we'd finished our shared started (admittedly we had been chatting), which meant that my 'pie' was cold and the sauce had a film on it. Given the prices here, with no discounted lunch menu, this was unacceptable. However, I didn't complain at the time as I didn't want to spoil my reunion with my friend. I have had an excellent meal here before, but was not impressed on this occasion.

We were rushed through the food too quickly. Did not enjoy the experience. Will not return

Great pre-theatre dinner with my family! The service was friendly and speedy (we made it out in time for 7:30 start at the theatre) and the set menu provided tasty options for both carnivores and vegetarians.

We are not sure what to make of Kopapa. We had 1 Beef Rendang to start which was nice but could have been spicier qith a little more beef but coconut soufflé was really quite nice. We also had 1 Arbroath smokie which had way too much cream., most of which was left. For mains we had spiced beef brisket and smoked mash which was good but would have been very good with more sauce. We also had the tempura Dahl which was nice if a bit tepid. We took 1 sorbet for dessert and 1 mango panna cotta, both were fairly good but the ginger snap could have been better. We took the cheapest 400ml carafe of red (£16.60) which was really nice. The restaurant itself is quite nice but the hard surfaces make everything seem louder than they are. There also seemed to be too many staff and it seemed slightly chaotic, our wiatress seemed distracted when serving us. We were glad we tried Kopapa but expected a bit more.

Great location to start your day with breakfast and spend the day in the city. The menu was interesting. The traditional breakfast looked like it could be the best English style breakfast around. We had the French toast and the chorizo hash. Both very good with a unique twist.

My friend and I picked Kopapa as the venue for our evening - we don't meet often but when we do we like to treat ourselves. The cocktail menu was not run of the mill, with a Yorkshire Rhurbarb Cooler immediately catching the eye of this Yorkshire girl! It didn't disappoint. Neither did the king prawn & chorizo scotch egg. The scallop dish that my friend had was tasty although on the small side. The mains - Wagyu beef for my friend and a lamb rump dish with crispy chick peas, pomegranate and all sorts of other things for me - were really good, and the garlic & rosemary fries and broccolini with shallots & tamarind glaze were particularly delicious. The peanut butter parfait for dessert was lovely but with eyes bigger than bellies it wasn't finished. Service was good and unobtrusive yet timely. All in all, a really tasty evening.

Came here with two friends for a girly catch up. We had the scallops and the antipasti to start and then between us shared the salmon, wagyu beef and pork belly. I had in fact stopped at the kitchen en route to the bathroom and asked the chef what we should order so we went on his recommendations. He also suggested the scotch egg but one of our party didnt like eggs so we declined that recommendation. Everything really good, particularly the mains. Sauces good, fish dish was light and fresh. Would come again and would recommend. Service good at times and slow in places. They forgot our sides but brought them after reminding and took them off the bill,
