Superb atmosphere where you could actually hear one another without having to shout over invasive music, the staff were fantastic especially the bar staff who knew their stuff. Food was gorgeous, served beautifully and tasted amazing. 20/10, A*, 5* Thank you Lace Market Hotel Merchants Restaurant for a brilliant stay & food.

An excellent time from start to finish. The staff were always accommodating pleasant and helpful. The food was good and the choice of wine excellent.

Wanted to try this for a while , really liked the ambiance and service and starters were good but the main course was just not up to scratch . My fish was ok but my husbands 'Rack of Lamb ' cost £24 and was actually two chops and a lump of meat which was so fatty my husband was ill afterwards . We did complain and service was good and offered us cocktails and apologised but it was the food we came for and it wasn't just a bad plate the chap on the table complained about the lamb too - a shame as it was quite nice but too pricey to compromise on the good to that extent - very disappointed
