56 West Smithfield
Price: Moderate•Wine Bar•4.8(21)56 West Smithfield was founded by a family of winemakers, with a passion for creating unique, hand-crafted wines.
Our family vineyard, Château De La Cômbe, is a small, boutique vineyard in Provence. Determined to make exceptional reds and whites in a region renowned for its rosés, we spent years lovingly restoring the chateau and estate, rebuilding the winemaking cave with state-of-the-art equipment and re-planting and tending to the vines. It wasn’t long before our organic wines began winning international awards – a testament to quality winemaking in Provence.
Eager to share our wines with the world, we partnered with like-minded, family-owned and boutique wineries to bring our rare and wonderful wines to you at 56 West Smithfield, without costly intermediaries.Angler - London

Once again the Don will have large, diverse wine list with the City largest selection of Ports and fine wines.Cloth Restaurant
Price: Expensive•Traditional French•4.7(261)Having spent years supplying London’s top restaurants through their separate wine businesses, Joe Haynes and Benedict Butterworth have joined forces with Tom Hurst, who has worked at Brawn, The Marksman, Levan, and most recently as Head Chef at Lasdun, to launch the trio’s first restaurant together.
Located in a Grade II listed building on Cloth Fair, Cloth Restaurant is part of a historic row of buildings in the City of London that survived the Great Fire of 1666. Down this atmospheric alley opposite St Bartholomew church, Cloth is taking over a double fronted corner site that’s beneath the former home of poet John Betjeman and next door to the two oldest residential buildings in London.
Inside, low ceilings, wood floorboards with antique wall lights and artwork create a cosy, intimate atmosphere, while marble tables, long dark wood banquettes, antique crockery and cutlery will create the feel of a classic bistro.
Le Cafe du Marche
Price: Very Expensive•French•4.8(1,419)Open for over three decades, Le Cafe du Marche remains a family run, independent French restaurant. Tucked down a cobbled mews on the corner of historic Charterhouse Square and a stones throw from Smithfield Meat Market, we offer honest French food in a convivial and characterful setting. Crossing the threshold, guests feel they escape the hustle and bustle of the Square Mile and instead are transported to the south of France. We have live jazz in the eveningsQuality Wines
Price: Very Expensive•European•4.8(322)We take reservations for both lunch and dinner
At dinner the table is yours for 1 hour 45 minutes if you book up to and including 7pm. Any time after that, it’s yours for the evening

Blacklock City
Price: Moderate•Steak•4.8(4,628)Blacklock a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Sunday Roast almost as good as Mum's.
We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.Cafe Below
Price: Moderate•British•4.7(439)In the atmospheric, mediaeval crypt of St Mary le Bow Church, the Cafe Below is a City institution. A quiet oasis from the hectic world above, serving a short menu of British and European dishes, with the occasional curry, the cafe has an ever changing seasonal menu. Being beneath the Bow Bells, naturally we are dedicated to all things London, so we source as locally as possible; our coffee is roasted in Hackney and our beer brewed in the East End. For breakfast, we are the perfect place for a moment of quiet before the day begins or a small or large business meeting, all with Homemade rye toast, River Farm smoked salmon, Brioche French toast and our own granola.
Jay Rayner hailed the cafe as being the "kind of restaurant any hectic city needs"; a quality driven, friendly place where you can meet mates, clients or colleagues, all in the unique setting of a Christopher Wren crypt!

- JWJamesWLondon •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoFirst time at Millies, although I've been to other restaurants in the Ned, so knew what to expect in terms of buzzing atmosphere and easy location. Friendly staff and great flavours in the mushroom pastry starter and ribeye steak, with a decent choice of wines. The only improvement could be to the slightly slow service at various stages of the meal, otherwise I can only give very positive feedback and look forward to going again.More infoMillie’s Lounge at The Ned LondonPrice: Very Expensive• British• Bank•4.4
