We are excited to reopen our restaurant to all of our guests and are cautiously abiding by the SCRLA to ensure that we are taking care of not only our guests but as well as our staff safely! I had the onion soup and brussel sprouts Both were way too salty I have been before but was not pleased with the food this time I tried the pomme frites with truffle of a friend and found them way too salty also

The food and service were outstanding! We had two extras join our table and our server was so accommodating to let us all sit together.

I was really disappointed. This was supposed to be a special occasion my 88th birthday. I asked the manager to reserve a special table for me as it was a super special occasion. Nothing was special about this meal. The service was poor. The food was bad. here’s an example. We got one bad basket of cold bread, the waitress, poor girl she was overwhelmed. She sort of ignored us . I almost feel like asking for a refund. I had been to this restaurant before and I cannot understand what has happened it was crowded and if a Friday night, but I’m just appalled and disappointed. Table of 8; great efficient service; restaurant pretty noisy, but uts so small and intimate that is to be expected. Food very good.

We arrived a bit early for our reservation and they seated us immediately without issue. The server was very well spoken and helpful - she did not talk so fast as to be unintelligible for us senior citizens. The salmon was cooked to perfection!!

Overall experience very nice. Food was very good and service attentive. However - found out when I received the bill I was charged for EACH soda I ordered! If it were in cans or bottles I could understand the charges but out of a fountain (with each glass 1/2 full of ice) I was very upset at this charge! That made my 5 star review a 4 star - due to the cheap nature of the charge! Update: I was contacted by 39 Rue de Jean and informed that the soda charge was in ERROR! They agreed to refund the charges and thanked me for bringing this issue to their attention! I very much appreciated being contacted as a follow up. Because of their review - I do believe this establishment does indeed rate 5 stars!! As originally stated - except for this one issue this restaurant was very nice!
