The beautifully restored historic mansion offers intimate dining in 8 elegantly appointed rooms, as well as a beautiful 2-tiered riverside terrace for alfresco dining. 529 serves exclusively Prime Beef, the best available in Canada, as well as fresh fish and seafood. The restaurant is proud to offer Manitoba’s highest rated wine list, Wine Spectator Magazine’s Best of Award of Excellence since 2004. Please note: 529 Wellington is a two-storied building without an elevator. Please indicate if there are any mobility issues for any diners in the party.

    The Ribeye was incredible! We also had a peppercorn sauce, brocolini, au gratin potatoes and maple pecan pie which were all excellent. One of the best steaks I have had.

    The Best Steak House in Manitoba has it all: Extraordinary Food, excellent, experienced Servers, and an old-world traditional ambience! Take your date, partner, or spouse, and they will be absolutely thrilled! This place delivers!!!

    4.5 stars for the sandwich. Best we have had in a long time. Fish and chips were OK, and the portion was smaller than usual.

    To dine at 529 is always a special treat! The ambience, delicious food and impeccable service ensures a wonderful experience. While one might expect the prices to be out of this world, two can have a lovely lunch for not much more than many other unremarkable restaurants. Then again, you could start with a 20th Anniversary $82 margarita! Already looking forward to our next visit.

    Beef stuffed mini Yorkshires with mashed potato and asparagus was done to perfection. The meatloaf with mushroom gravy was so tasty (as usual) and the Salad Niçoise was excellent. Thanks for a lovely lunch!
