   Everything was great! Grilled calamari, mixed greens salad, braised short rib, grouper, and flourless chocolate cake. The only thing was that the grouper had more than a couple bones throughout the filet.

   I have been wanting to eat here for a couple years now. It was refreshing and exciting to have authentic Italian food in the city. Josie is also phenomenal and did a fantastic job in walking us through the menu. We will be returning with my parents in the coming weeks.

   Food is absolutely wonderful here. I split ragu, gnocchi, and short rib here and all were delicious. The service here was great too. My waiter gave us a small wine pairing with the short rib simply because he knew it would enhance the flavor even though we didn’t order it. It’s small gestures like this that sets A Tavola apart. It’s a perfect intimate date spot in a very inconspicuous location. I cannot recommend this place enough!

   Fantastic in every way. You are made to feel welcome the moment you walk in the door. it's quiet and beautiful. You can actually have a conversation. Music is in the background. The food was delicious--we loved every dish. Dan't wait to return.

   Great dinner at a tavola yet again. Celebrated a friend’s birthday and they took great care of us. All of the waiter’s recommendations were delicious… from the marinated mushrooms to the gnocchi to the short rib dish. He helped us pick a delicious wine that paired well with our meal too. Highly recommend for the food, the service, and the ambience.

   Ambiance and service are excellent. Mushroom appetizer was excellent, in fact doubt it could be better. Bolognese was also excellent. Gnocchi, which are supposedly a forte of this restaurant, were almost sent back... too tough (for gnocchi). My girlfriend said she thought I was going to send them back when I made a face after tasting them. It was on my mind, but we were on vacation and I wanted to focus on having a nice evening out. When the gnocchi I make at home are far better than a mid level restaurant's gnocchi, that tells me everything I need to know. I am not bragging by any means here, nor am I a professional chef, I am just stating something that to me, is patently obvious. I did see other posts (after I had dined there) questioning the gnocchi quality, one diner stating the current chef needs to revisit the original recipe... I've never tasted the original recipe, but I am pretty certain they are correct. So, correct whatever is going on with the gnocchi and overall this restaurant is a pretty nice experience.

    I was just greeted by a rat in the alley when I arrived - I’m terrified of those. Since there’s no way to move to the patio after entering the building - the kitchen is right in between. Service was nice, ambience was top notch it felt upscale and intimate. The food was not outstanding - we tried the gnocchi, the tonnarelli and the calamari. The server felt a little pushy trying to get us to buy the 3 course menu (69 bucks) by telling us the dinner portions were not served when ordering a la carte.
