My husband and I went last night for a date night. This is by far the best meal we’ve had in a long time. The Merluza was absolutely beautiful. It was paired with grits, pickled vegetables, fried oysters and okra. Each bite was a new experience. The new sommelier from Argentina recommended an Italian wine that was similar to the Greek Assyrtiko grape and it did not disappoint. It is so nice to have an expert to heighten your meal. I love how the meals, cocktails and wine are so balanced. It truly is expert level. Don’t forget the chocolate ganache bar with hazelnut ice cream and caramelized bananas. Please open a restaurant near West Lake. We will keep you in business. Tommy and India

It’s the best restaurant in Augusta. Hands down. The oysters taste like the Atlantic Ocean is right outside their back door. And they’re shucked PROPERLY. Which no one does these days. No having to pry them off the shell with your fork. Food is always fantastic, and love the little innovative touches like tempura fried cheese curds.

It was great! For us, the alcohol/extra drink push was a little aggressive, but the food was wonderful and it wont keep us from going back.

I am a huge fan of Abel Brown! Last night there were a few hiccups that could have been avoided. The pork chop (my favorite dish) was just ok. It was served rare (should have been medium) and it didn’t have the usual smoky flavor. The chop was cooked more but by the time it came back my brothers were finished eating so I got it to go. The chop usually reheats wells the next day but it didn’t this time. I’ve had this dish at least 4 times prior and it was consistently amazing - not sure what happened this visit. My brother had the grouper special and it was very fishy. He wasn’t able to eat it because of the off-putting fishy flavor. I will be back, absolutely, and hope this was just an off-night. I still highly recommend and support AB.
