Great for creative cocktails

Delio Susi, in anticipation of his restaurant’s tenth anniversary, refined both his restaurant’s menu as well as its interior design, to great success. Losing none of his Abruzzi roots, the food is clean but clearly Italian, and a little rustic. The warm and inviting room makes the same statement. Drawing on his architectural background, Susi plays with simple organic materials, like square slate tiles and tabletops, and brown leather tufted banquettes. The use of brick plus copper fixtures contribute to the Italian country/casual feel that serves food and wine to match. Wooden floors and European style open windows for the summer add to this ambiance. And red lamps that hang in bright contrast with the earthy tones during the day, shed a sexy flattering nighttime glow. Amelia’s Trattoria offers a personal and authentic dining experience using top local ingredients infused with the heart of its Italian chef.

The bartender and white staff were fantastic! This small little trattoria is buzzing with energy. Not a place for a nice quiet meal, but certainly a nice vibe. I had chicken under a brick with charred vegetables. I don’t think I would order this again. This is my go to dish, henever it’s available at a restaurant and this was my least favorite one I’ve had. The vegetables were soft with no char, there was no crisp on the skin, and it just wasn’t interesting at all. My partner had the ravioli of the day and thought it was divine! I didn’t have any wine by the glass that I liked after sampling two, so they brought out another one that was not on the menu. It was wonderful.

Fantastic spot! Great little dining room and bar, very attentive and friendly staff despite being very busy on a Friday night. Cocktails and food were generous and delicious. Gluten free options were available for most of the pasta dishes and my wife reported that her gluten free Bolognese was excellent. We will certainly return.

Service was good as were the appetizers. My girlfriend and I got the spaghetti with clams and the brick style chicken to split. The spaghetti was okay, but the chicken was awful. Could barely even cut through it it was so tough. Otherwise, the appetizers and service were very good.

We somehow were lucky enough to stumble upon this restaurant while searching for places to eat during our visit in Boston. I am so thankful we did. A very small and quaint restaurant that has great service and the food is amazing. True Italian recipes that are flavorful and the perfect portion. I had the spaghetti vongole, my wife had the ravioli of the night and our son had the spaghetti alla tarta. All dishes were delish and highly recommended. The restaurant vibe is amazing , small neighborhood feel and is amazing.

Outstanding in every way. Superb Italian menu, excellent service, warm, welcoming atmosphere. Noise level requires shouting to be heard at a table for two, but such is life in American restaurants these days. Warmer weather will bring outdoor seating and better acoustics, but in the meantime, I’ll happily return to this cozy place.
