Amrheins has been a Boston tradition since 1890. For over a century, diners throughout the city of Boston have been welcomed into Amrheins to enjoy quality meals amongst friends and neighbors. Today that tradition continues in our updated facility. Despite the renovations in 2005, Amrheins is still full of history. Amrheins is the proud home of the oldest hand carved bar in America and still has the first Draft Beer pump in Boston on display. We had a great time. The waitress was very personable, food was delicious, quantities perfect, and the prices very reasonable. The restaurant is keeping up its well established values and service

Was ok service with waitress being nice and not her fault but filet was way too over cooked for two people and no flavor on food for being a 180$ bill definitely wouldn’t recommend here for food.

Food was surprisingly good. Waitress was super. Prices were very reasonable. Plenty of parking. I’ll be going back for sure. Too small issues. It’s cold in the dining room , dress warm and I wish the music selection was a little better.

Always great food, awesome service, and they even moved our table on a busy Sunday bc I forgot to mention I had my 11 month old. Just so kind and accommodating always! Food A+!

I used to live in Southie and I would to go Amrheins all the time. I remember it was affordable esp for lunch had great drinks and good food. I want back recently and it was just as good as i remember. I had a Reuben w/sweet potato fries and a pear martini. It hit the spot! I was even happier with the bill. I’d highly recons this place!

We got hung up in traffic and were way late. The hostess was very accommodating and our waitress served us up quickly and pleasantly. Food was solid. My only gripe was an almost undrinkable Cosmo, no lime just a double dose of triple sec that made it into cranberry syrup. We patched it up and made it to our show with time to spare. Couple of regulars at the bar, families dining together, a baby shower in the adjacent dining room. Obvious to see why this place is a neighborhood favorite for many years.

Stopped in for the Patriots game. Service was excellent -- very attentive. Appetizers of wings and nachos were well received by the group. My burger was exactly as ordered and the other four people in the group each gave their entree high marks.
