Antico Restaurant opened its doors at the dawn of 2012. Its philosophy is simple — Italian comfort food in a comfortable atmosphere. Housed in the basement of Antico restaurant is 214 Bermondsey, a hidden little gin and cocktail bar, which offers a warm and distinctive feel with detail to be found in every corner. It’s the perfect place to meet for aperitivo or, with over 80 gins and its own homemade ‘BTW - Bermondsey Tonic Water’, to extend you evening.

Excellent food – interesting and with great flavours. Service was fantastic too. Such a shame this place has now had to close.

Had another wonderful evening here last Sunday. It's such a shame Antico is closing as it's a big loss to Bermondsey Street and it will be missed!

Fab food and atmosphere, can't believe this place is closing. Had the lamb which was succulent and full of flavour. Excellent prices for London. Octopus for starters was beautiful and tender; couldn't fault anything and the service was great too.

The closure of Antico leaves a huge hole in Bermondsey Street. Great food, atmosphere and staff. This restaurant was everything that an eatery should be, and almost never is. If there is no place in London for an Antico, then it can only be because monetary greed has triumphed over culinary need. All of those responsible for the demise of this fine place should hang their heads in shame.

Not the best restaurant if you want authentic italian cuisine. The portions are really small even if you go for the big ones. They don't even offer you bread. The burrata is poor. However, the wine menu is good.
