   Ashten’s is always a favorite of mine and of course Valentine’s Day was another great experience. From the beautiful atmosphere and decor to the amazing service. Fresh, local ingredients and great selection of cocktails and wine. Highly recommend getting an appetizer, entree, and you certainly can’t skip dessert. Zarah, the pastry chef is a true magician. Overall 10/10 experience and I’ll surely be back soon!

   One of my favorite places to eat, especially in the bar area, Ambiance always, food choices and prep remind me of why I return.

   Sadly, it wasn't the best experience. Hostess greeted us and said, “your table is there, I'll bring you menus”. We waited a while before the server came over. He was very personable, but our waters were empty, our appetizer was forgotten and often he would forget we were sat there next to the partition. In his defense, he may have been the only server in the room, but he seemed to have plenty of time for his other tables. I ordered the salmon, which was good, but there was so much salt in the sauce that it rendered everything else on the plate inedible. My husband got the blue cheese burger, which he said was good, and subbed a salad for the fries. The salad showed up with a $2 charge, which was not mentioned. We order the “fsmous” chocolate cake. It was very good. The server asked if we wanted ice cream, but melted to mention the $4 charge for half a scoop. For the price and ambiance, you would expect better.

   Hi Shawn, Thank you for your review. We are so sorry you did not have the best experience with us. The extra charges for add ons are listed on our menus but we are sorry if it was confusing. We always strive to give the best service at Ashten’s and hope you come back and give us another chance.

   My only quibble was my Buber was medium rather than medium rare. Love Ashten’s

   Food, service and atmosphere were excellent. We were a party of 3 seated in the bar. Started with the artichoke appetizer along with the brie cheese appetizer, both were delicious. Mains were NY Strip, Salmon and Duck - all were great. It’s our go to place while visiting SP.

   Fun ambiance, that fits with the history of Southern Pines. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Food was delicious.

   Ashten's never disappoints. The food is always fresh and expertly prepared, and the menu reflects the best of seasonal offerings. Service is attentive, but not intrusive. And the ambience when dining in the bar area is perfect for relaxing with friends. Five stars all around!

   Great as always! Never disappoints. One of our favorite spots in SP. The pork shank special with green chili cheddar mash potatoes was delicious!!

    I booked a reservation for Ashten’s for my anniversary and they made it very special. The server had congratulated my husband and I several times throughout the night. She was very attentive and checked on us regularly. Although it was a little busy we still saw her a lot more than I’ve seen a server at any other restaurant. The service and food was excellent! I would definitely go there again without question!
