We had an incredible experience! They sat us next to the water per our request and Isaac was our waiter - he gave us excellent service. The food was phenomenal as always. We bring out of state visitors here whenever they come. Highly recommend!

Prime Rib is the best I’ve had in SD. So well seasoned. But the snow crab was just too salty. Everything else was truly delicious

Valley high is our family San Diego go to restaurant and has been for the last 15 years, possibly longer. What keeps us coming back is the great food and the best mai tai this side of Dukes in Hawaii, paired with spectacular views of the San Diego skyline and Coronado Bay, and great service and affordable prices. The ambience is a wonderful, kitschy throwback to very best that mid-century Tiki has to offer. OpenTable always makes it so much easier, so long as you plan ahead. We’ll be back there again sometime soon! You can count on that!!

We really enjoyed our Valentines Day dinner here at a view table. Despite being very busy, Daniel S provided us with excellent service. They had a special menu available that sounded great but too big a meal for us. We opted for a mixed pupus platter that was a tasty introduction followed by a shared delicious seared ahi tuna and a side of Brussel sprouts with Chinese sausage.

Everything was great except the bar area. We like to go early to have drinks before dinner. The noise in the bar area off to the right was atrocious. This was the second time in a row where large groups (approximately 8 to 10) people gathered. They were loud and obnoxious, yelling over each other. Nothing was done to quiet them down. Other patrons in the area were also upset over the noise level. You can’t hear each other talk. After being seated for dinner, however, everything was great!!

A couple if two we were seated next to a boisterous party making it difficult to communicate with each other. I initially ordered the fish of the day. The waiter, Josh recommended instead of the dinner, I get it as as sandwich. Big mistake. The sandwich was extremely messy. Flavors were no more than if we had gone to s fast food. Not the same as being able to enjoy the flavor of the mahi mahi on its own. My mistake was taking his advice. My wife ordered tea It was served without a spoon to stir in the accompanied honey. The Coconut Shrimp with dipping sauce was very good. However on completion we were told to keep our fork for the main course.. laying a used fork on the barr table top? I ordered the mahi with a side of house salad and instead was served macaroni salad. The waiter, when he returned did make the change. All in all it was not thr Bali Hai we remembered from our previous visits. For us a bad choice for what we had planned for a special lunch.
