   This is a great Italian neighborhood restaurant. We are lucky to have such delicious food in Cole Valley. Always a favorite!

   Wonderful food and nice local spot. Very busy for Valentine’s Day (to be expected) hence the wait staff was stretched thin.

   We went on an early Saturday afternoon and I thought it would be packed, but we were able to got in with no problems. Just a bunch of regulars at the bar which I always love. Maybe we missed the rush. Friendly server. We had tje mussels for an appetizer, my friend had and enjoued tje chicken Parmesian. I had been craving Pizza so K chose the scicillian which was amazing! The Drink menu was a little more pricey than we expected, but everything is through the roof these days 🤷🏽‍♀️. We enjoyed our choices.

   Perfect service and delicious food. We split a large orange pear salad, which was huge. He had the fettucine Alfredo con pollo, I had the angel hair pasta with chicken. Both among the best in the city. The garlic bread was chock-full of garlic, just as we like it.

   Given the reviews I’d read, our experience was a disappointment. The space is lovely and the service was good but the food was just so-so. We shared a Caesar salad which was ok tho the polenta croutons that came with it were yummy. The bread was good too. Our mains were what fell short. We both had the chicken piccata and while it was a big portion and the chicken was cooked well, the piccata sauce was overpowering — quite sweet and not well-balanced. Neither of us ate much of it. I wish one of us had tried a pasta dish to see if those are better. Decent though small list of wines by the glass.

    Bambino’s is a fantastic Italian restaurant in Cole Valley. It’s conveniently located near Cole & Carl, easily accessible via the N-line. The atmosphere is warm & gracious. The food was great. I love the pasta dishes and the tiramisu is a must.
