The Waterloo Bar & Kitchen / Restaurant décor creates a very relaxed and intimate dining experience, yet our high ceilings and open kitchen keep the room fresh and spacious. The floor staff are efficient and professional and they understand how to be attentive without being intrusive.
We pride ourselves in the quality of the food we serve in our restaurant. Our Head Chef and his team source the most fresh and seasonal ingredients, creating twists on home-made classics from Chicken Liver Pate with Toasted Onion Brioche and a Cranberry Port Sauce to a Lemon Drizzle Cake with Creme Fraiche and Lemon Coulis. The restaurant also features various specials everyday.
The restaurant is the direct neighbour of the Old Vic Theatre and it is only two minutes walk from Waterloo Station. Many Old Vic customers join us post-theatre as the restaurant is so close to many transport connections.
The Waterloo Bar & Kitchen is located a short walk from Waterloo Railway Station.

This place has closed down!! Very disappointing to have received booking confirmation and reminder emails only to arrive there to find it closed and boarded up!

We had a reservation for the Waterloo Bar & Kitchen for Monday evening before going to the Old Vic Theatre. The email confirmation arrived the day before. I found my friends standing in front of the closed and shuttered restaurant at 6pm. No sign of life. No apology from Open Table. And this website is still taking reservations for WB&K-- I just checked. Not good. Thankfully we managed to get the last table at La Barca and had a wonderful Italian meal. But I am not happy about this.

This restaurant is closed. Booked for a birthday, turned up, spent £15 on a taxi to find somewhere else. Appalling.

The restaurant was closed when we arrived for our pre-theatre reservation. There was no explanation and we haven't received an update or an apology. Asking for a review in the circumstances is a bit rich!

The restaurant was CLOSED. You booked me in for a meal but when I arrived it was clear that it had been closed for days, if not weeks. Why do you book people into restaurants which have closed, don't you check? Not going to book through Open Table again.

Looking for somewhere quiet near Waterloo to catch up with a friend - and Waterloo B&K fits the bill. it's reliable, food is tasty enough. Not exciting or trendy - but that's not always what you need!
