Food was amazing! Practically licked my plate clean. Despite the sign outside that said “please wait to be seated” we waited and no one came. So we walked inside and found someone to seat us. Mind you, we had reservations, but seemed odd we weren’t welcomed or greeted. Our server was polite and quick but nothing impressive. No meal suggestions. No “have you dined with us before?” Almost like we interrupted her day. Didn’t even say what the soup of the day was. Basically took our order. Someone else brought food and cleared the dishes. I’d return just for another meal though!

We had a date night here, we’d been before, and really enjoyed it! The wait staff is amazing! Service is great! The value is not so great, or at least not as great as it used to be, $13 for a cup, tiny cup of chowder. $18 for essentially side salad. $16 for a sliver of cheesecake. We probably won’t be back, but the restaurant itself is charming inside, the bar is adorable. We wish them success! ☺️

There definitely is a reason why this restaurant has withstood the test of time in upscale Saratoga. It might not be the fanciest place in town, nor is it the most expensive. However, the menu is simple yet offers a good selection of entrees. On a busy Valentine's night, entrees were served hot and timely, fresh warm rolls were plentiful, and service was excellent!

Bella Saratoga is a small Italian style restaurant in downtown Saratoga. The building is old, very very old. It was probably a house at some point. They have seating downstairs, upstairs and in the patio. The servers are great. They're friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The valentines menu is special with higher prices and an automatic 20% gratuity imposed on the bill. The food is good, but not great for this price point. We got the lasagna which was well cooked but somewhat lacking in flavor. I don't think it was significantly better than anything from a grocery store. The ribeye special was decent. The meat was well cooked and well seasoned, but it had tons of fat and was slightly chewy. The piece of meat was very thin, probably less than 16oz for $76 plus tax and tip. It was served with a few fingerling potatoes and some broccolini. Both vegetables were good but nothing special. Overall, it was a decent Valentine's Day meal but there are generally better options.

Because there was an added gratuity due to holiday, I don't feel the server was at his best. The busser was very good.
