   Despite reservations, we were told there would be an extra 45 min wait, which negates the need for reservations via OpenTable. We were on a time crunch and this would have not worked for us. We opted for a regular table without the hibachi experience which was faster but the food was prepped in the kitchen. The food was overcooked and the steaks were tough, but we were able to finish and leave in time to meet our other commitments. Horrible value for the price.

   We go to Beni for all of our families birthday and Christmas Day for 16 years. My son and I have the same birthday and this was extra special as it was his 30th birthday. We made reservations as usual and had to wait almost an hour. The bar was full of people not ordering drinks or appetizers so we could t even sit and enjoy that for ourselves. The chef was nice but messed up on our meals. And when I asked for our annual picture…there was no Beni photo. That has never happened.

   Terrible experience at this location. Was seated and there was a broom and dustpan over the table. Politely asked the manager as he tripped over the broom and dustpan to kindly remove the items. Was greeted with an attitude. Why would I dine with cleaning products sitting at my table? For the inconvenience, we asked to be compensated and were rudely brushed off.

   First time at Benihana and I was so impressed by the quality of food and service. Ivan our chef was absolutely fantastic. I can’t wait to go back.

   Another stellar meal and I am and always have been an ultimate fan of Benihana Anaheim !!! Ever since I moved from San Diego up to Anaheim back in 1982 !!!! When I moved in with my girlfriend (now my wife)!who at the time lived in the apartment building right behind the restaurant upstairs in the first unit; and well let's just say that we spent a lot of time eating in your establishment !¡!!

   Our server was super slow and not very attentive with refills etc. Our chef took forever to come out (over and hour) and he basically served us burnt fried rice. Benihana used to be a special experience- not the case anymore. $15 for two cups of fried rice and $6 lemonades is outrageous. And with mediocre service- will likely not be back. The $30 ‘birthday reward’ needs to be raised as your prices were.

   Many many mistakes were made tonight. Server struggled all night, lagged on filling our waters, soup was cold and ran out. Had to wait for new batch for one of the group. The chef barely spoke English and hard to communicate with. Told them I was allergic to shellfish but chef started cooking the scallops and shrimp. Let him know again that I was allergic. He had to remove the shellfish and re-clean the grill to cook my food. The steak was overcooked. Ice cream was not served till late. One of the ice cream plates went to the wrong person that we had to correct. Bad night for the overpriced food. Won’t go back again.

    We had birthday lunch today at the cooking tables and were seated next to a group of octogenarians and had the best time! Adrian was our chef and kept us all laughing the entire time. I would recommend choosing his table if you go in the future. The female server also did a wonderful job with our orders, refills of water, etc. It was the best time I've had at a Benihana - ever and I've been going to Newport & Anaheim for 30 years or more.
