   It was for the most part a very good meal and the chef was almost as great as the one that my wife and I had last week when we were here for lunch!¡!

   Our food was amazing as always. Tony of chef was also really great. The table host was hard to hear and spoke very fast. The biggest issue is that we had a 7pm reservation and were seated at 7:45pm. With no communication as to why. We stood in the lobby with all other guests just waiting. The check in desk staff spent the whole time on their phones and talking to the security guard. There were also managers that kept to themselves. If we were told it would be a while because they were busy, and to wait in the bar and grab a drink, we could have made due. But 45 minutes past the reservation time is unacceptable.

   Despite reservations, we were told there would be an extra 45 min wait, which negates the need for reservations via OpenTable. We were on a time crunch and this would have not worked for us. We opted for a regular table without the hibachi experience which was faster but the food was prepped in the kitchen. The food was overcooked and the steaks were tough, but we were able to finish and leave in time to meet our other commitments. Horrible value for the price.

   We go to Beni for all of our families birthday and Christmas Day for 16 years. My son and I have the same birthday and this was extra special as it was his 30th birthday. We made reservations as usual and had to wait almost an hour. The bar was full of people not ordering drinks or appetizers so we could t even sit and enjoy that for ourselves. The chef was nice but messed up on our meals. And when I asked for our annual picture…there was no Beni photo. That has never happened.

   Terrible experience at this location. Was seated and there was a broom and dustpan over the table. Politely asked the manager as he tripped over the broom and dustpan to kindly remove the items. Was greeted with an attitude. Why would I dine with cleaning products sitting at my table? For the inconvenience, we asked to be compensated and were rudely brushed off.

   Another stellar meal and I am and always have been an ultimate fan of Benihana Anaheim !!! Ever since I moved from San Diego up to Anaheim back in 1982 !!!! When I moved in with my girlfriend (now my wife)!who at the time lived in the apartment building right behind the restaurant upstairs in the first unit; and well let's just say that we spent a lot of time eating in your establishment !¡!!

    Our server was super slow and not very attentive with refills etc. Our chef took forever to come out (over and hour) and he basically served us burnt fried rice. Benihana used to be a special experience- not the case anymore. $15 for two cups of fried rice and $6 lemonades is outrageous. And with mediocre service- will likely not be back. The $30 ‘birthday reward’ needs to be raised as your prices were.
