   The service could have been better and the pricing was outrageous. $40 dollars for hibachi steak that was not even that great.

   The only problem I had was it was extremely cold at the table that my party was sat at.

   Always enjoy our dinner at Benihana! The food and service is great! However, it’s always cold in the dining room and dinner is somewhat costly.

   We went for NYE, the sushi bar closed before 11pm which was disappointing but fine however the bar closed before 12 and our server didn’t tell us about last call so we weren’t able to order drinks to toast. The biggest issue was a party that came in for a 12am reservation was able to place an order for drinks. Our servers response was oh the manager must have made drinks for them. We asked well why couldn’t they make drinks for us and he just looked dumb founded. Other than that we had a good time, the food was good and the gentleman who cooked our food was great.

   Our family loves Japanese steakhouses, and our recent experience confirmed that Benihana offers the best taste, service and ambiance of this catagory in our area. Some veg and meat portions are noticably smaller than local competitors — but still more than filling. Dessert being included woth the meal is a nice touch. The quality of ingredients, flavor and the staff’s attentiveness are great. Our only disappointment was that we waited 25 minutes past our reservation time for a table, with no real explanation for the delay or updates as we waited.

   As with most restaurants these days everything was overpriced, however the portions were very small. Ordered Land & Sea, filet mignon and 4 small scallops, the scallop portion was laughable. Fried rice was an extra $8, normally the charge is an extra $1 or $2. While the meal was good the portions were small and the prices were extremely high. Unlikely to return.

   Our reservation was for 7:45, but we weren’t seated until 8:45. When our chef finally came to the table (around 9:15) they took a while and we didn’t leave until 10:45. The chef was cooking that entire time. The waiter was good, however our drinks took 30 minutes and there was HAIR IN THE SALAD!!!!!!! Never going back.

    I was very upset with our chef. He screwed up multiple times and did little to no tricks at all. I saw other tables and it felt like they had much better chefs. He screwed up my fiancée’s order. I expect more from Benihana.
