   The chef and the food were pretty good but the service was abysmal. I had an 8:30 reservation and we didn’t even get seated until almost 9, the chef arrived at the table past 9:30. While he was pleasant and skilled to an extent, he did not display even half the pageantry or skill that I’ve seen at other Teppanyaki establishments. I do have to say the food was good though.

   We were seated 1 hour after our reservation time, and then another 30 minutes to get the chef. From our reservation time to the time we finished dinner. It was 3 hours, that’s horrible and greedy managers if the business they overbooked!!!

   Possibly the worst dining experience I've had in a while. While I understand running behind ....we waited over 1.5 total hours. For them to give our reservation away to someone claiming my name supposedly. Then to make us wait again, and Everytime the gentleman left the front desk it seems to be utter chaos. when they finally seated us with another party of six reservation, We found out that the party of six actually had brought and extra person, so their now 7 party would not leave space for us to sit. so we had to then wait again and by then I was hangry, my kid was hangry so we left to eat elsewhere....... Where the service was not lacking!! please tell your front desk, young ladies to not continuously lie to people with reservations. We could hear her saying that they were 30 minutes behind when in actuality they were 55 minutes to an hour behind. Don’t make people wait longer than they have to.

   Overcrowded. Had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Food was nothing special. Any strip mall chinese restaurant fried rice will taste better. The Teppan chefs' skills were very novice level.

   Usually love coming here and always book on open table. Unfortunately it was very busy and we were seated 30 minutes late. The restaurant was packed! To the point of 10+ people at some tables with aisles being blocked. Luckily we sat at a table mouthing the main aisle. The server was attentive and the food was good. Our chef went a little overboard with black pepper liberally applied to all good. My filet mignon was medium (ordered medium rare) and shrimp was hard. The lobster was good. Will return on a less busy night.

   We made a reservation for 6:15pm. When we arrived, we were told we would be seated in 20 minutes. After checking in multiple times and being told we were next, we were sat at our table at 7:25pm. No explanation. No apologies. Nothing to make it right. Over an hour wait with a reservation. It was clear we were sat with another group that had been forgotten or mismanaged because they seemed very upset as well. They had two smaller children that were simply starving by this point. It was quite a wait after that to get drinks, the soup/salad. Our chef was the only shining spot (and the company we came with of course!). The food is as you expect; the fried rice is the best and everything is else pretty much tastes the same (like garlic butter). It’s entertaining once it gets going. Other than that, I don’t recommend this location at all.

   Service was horrible, very slow. Tables that arrived after us ate before us and when we asked the manager he said he will look into it and never came back. Service has gone downhill and food was average at best.

   Food was excellent and our chef was fun and well trained. Server was pretty mediocre. Checking and waiting for our table was awful. 5:30 reservation, arrived at 5:20 and checked in at the host stand. We’re told we would be seated shortly and to wait in the bar. We kept seeing people come in and get seated before us. At 5:40 I asked the hostess if we had missed our name being called. She said we were the next table. Again, people are coming in and being seated. At 5:50 I asked her again, clearly giving her our party name. She again said we were the next table. Now 6:00 rolls around and the same thing with the hostess, so I went to the check in stand and asked the main person how much longer for us to be seated. She told me that had called us four times and no one answered. That would be impossible. We were seated at the table closest to the host stand. I also explained that I had asked the other hosted THREE TIMES when we would be seated and she kept telling me we were the next table. She just shook her head and said she would seat us next. There weee FIVE people at the host stand. This was terrible customer service compounded by a bad attitude all around and never any apology. We were celebrating my son’s birthday, which we have celebrated at the Cupertino Benihana for more than 30 years. If not for that tradition, we would have just left. Luckily, we got a great chef!
