   The service was incredibly slow and our vegan friend had no main dish options despite checking the menu in advance. Very disappointing.

   Shame on you Benihana being short staffed specifically with your chefs. The poor server having good communication having to cover for the lack of staff. Had waited from 7:45 to 8:25 for a table that I had a reservation for and at 9 waiting still for a chef my family had to leave it was a school night. The server was the one to suffer because the chef never came.

   We had 6:30pm Thursday night reservation for a party of 3, we arrived and had to wait 10 minutes which was not bad, we were seated for a the hibachi table. Our server did not greet us for another 15 minutes or so, when she arrived you could barely hear her talk, so mumbled her words. She took our drink order. Then disappeared for quite some time, brought our drinks, took our food order. It was not a crowded evening at all, maybe 8 tables were occupied. When she brought over our soup bowl, she placed on our dinner plate. Then the salad was brought out and again placed on our dinner plate. In our order two of us had the Specialty 6 course meal which included Green Tea, which was never mentioned or brought out. The cook was amazing, he started prepping the food, but then noticed he was placing the cooked food on our dinner plates that were holding the Soup and Salad that was brought over a serving tray. I said to someone walking by, if they can bring us new plates, becuase our server was no where to be seen. After eating, we all sat there for about 15 ish minutes and our server never came back. The other party at our table got up and walked to the front to request their check. Our meals included ice cream so we sat and wait. It was apparent that she was not coming back so we did the same. I had food left over food, so I needed a togo box. long story short, she was a horrible server. At the front when we requested our check she appeared, with her handle held device to check out. I mentioned to the Hostess the service was horrible, she asked why... i said LACK OF SERVICE. Not attentive at all, if it were a busy night then completely understanable... it was not.

   Normally have a good time there, but this time it was not the best it could be. They seemed to have forgotten us and took over an hour for them to get our table going. The food which is typically ok seemed to have too much of butter or oil (not sure which), and left an after taste in my mouth. I will not be returning to this location

   We go for the food. The place hasn't been remodeled since it was built as far as I can tell and it shows. It is really noisy. Parking is provided which in Lauderdale is a blessing, you just tip the valet. The prices used to be a bargain, but now I'd say they are roughly fair, maybe a bit high.

   It's a nice place to dine. It's not for the romantic and quiet spirit. Very family oriented.

   Waited two hours for our food, we barely got service getting our drinks 3 drinks in 2 hours. When the chef did come he argued with another guest almost right away then disappeared. Food itself was over done and disorganized we didn’t get half of what we were supposed to. Save your money go somewhere else

    Kept us waiting for our 7pm table for a full half hour. Then once sat. Waited another 20 for chef. This seems to b benihanas MO. Everyone we talk to says they keep u waiting. A 7:30 pm turned into an 8:30. Too long
