   Well, after several years and previous disappointing experiences, we went back. Stunningly, flagrantly, unapologetically incompetent. Our reservation was for 6:30 PM. Not seated until after 7:30 PM. Three groups of eight with reservations, walked out, enraged at waiting for their reservations, as we waited for our own. Our first touch of food was not until after 8:00 PM. 25 minutes from ordering drinks until the first drink arrived, we ordered a bottle of sake, which one would think required only retrieving the bottle from a refrigerator and bringing it out with glasses. But instead our server couldn’t figure out which bottle of the only five varieties they offer we had ordered, so after 20 minutes another person came out to ask us if we had ordered a different bottle which we had not, and which they were out of. Our boys who ordered bottled sodas received their orders after 30 minutes. One bright spot: our chef was wonderful. Was there an apology? Was there a complimentary item? No. Our waitress overcharged us by $24. After learning that she had overcharged us, did she apologize? No. I do love hibachi, but it will be very, very difficult for me to return.

   The wait time was ridiculous as well as the amount of time we had to wait for our waitress to come back to refill drinks. Up charges not being discussed with us while placing our order, just making it sound like it comes with our meal. There was nothing special about the food being prepared in front of us, normally it’s like watching a show and it was very lackluster. There was no special egg fun, or anything with onions and trains or volcanos like most chefs do. Just an overall disappointing and overpriced experience and we won’t be back.

   Very upsetting experience. Our reservation was at 3:30 , when we got there (at 3:15) we checked in & the host let us know we were going to have to wait. They didn’t come and get us until 3:55.. when we sat down no one even came to the table to get drink orders until about 4:17.. no one spoke up us or anything. There was a party that had been sitting there for an hour and they said they hadn’t been served yet either. Very bad experience & I won’t be back! If you have this same experience you should try STIX IN COLLIERVILLE AT THE CARRIAGE CROSSING MALL!!

   Our Chef was very good, but our server was horrible. She didn’t come back to the table and check to see if anyone needed anything, so everyone’s glasses were empty and we all needed refills. She wasn’t going to bring the green tea and dessert that comes with the hibachi meals until we asked for it and then she said do you really want it? This was our first time at Benihana’s, and it was our last.

   This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. We were seated, waiting 15 minutes just to order drinks (placed our food order at the same time) after another 15 minutes still hadn’t received our waters or adult drinks. The table behind us were seated around 10 minutes after us,, same waitress but these people happened to be Caucasian, they had waters, adult drinks and appetizers. …. After another 5 minutes and our waitress again walking past us to deliver something to their table, my husband and I got up and informed our waitress we were leaving and to cable our order. I was extremely disappointed because this was my first time at Benihana and I’ve been wanting to try it for years. Based on this experience I probably won’t ever get the chance to taste the food. In my opinion I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone

   Our experience at Benihana was excellent! The server was attentive and our chef was entertaining!! Everyone went above and beyond! We will definitely be dining again soon.

    Had reservation at 6:45 for my daughter's birthday. They sat us down at 645...however, the cook did not show up to the table until 8:30. Why have a reservation for 645 if you are not going to serve someone until 830? The staff and management team had no idea what they were doing and continued to walk around unorganized. Truly expected more from this type of establishment.
