    We made a reservation for 2:15pm on Christmas. We were told the wait would be 45 minutes even though we arrived prior to our reservation time. We ended up waiting a full hour + to be seated. The chef was rushed and delayed. Despite the wait, the food was excellent and the value was worth it.

    Place is always great. I understand it was Xmas eve but had a reservation and was told it would an hour or more before we sat. After we sat it wasn’t until another hour when or chef came to table. The waitress was visibly tired and 3 of the 5 orders were messed up. I’ll chalk it up to being Xmas eve but wasn’t expecting a 3 hour experience.

    Wait time was waaaaay too long even with reservation. More than and hour after that. By the time the chef arrived was 2.5 hrs!

    Even though had a reservation, had to wait over 30min to sit down then another 45 min bc they're short chefs. They need to pay the chefs more instead of overworking them and passing the inconvenience to the customer.

    We had a TERRIBLE experience here last night. Our reservations were at 7:45pm for 10 people. We were 4 adults + 6 kids.  we arrived at 7:20 in hopes of getting seated sooner, but the host said that would likely not be possible. At 7:45, the time of our reservation, they informed us that they are running about 30 minutes behind on their reservations. We were not pleased, but we’re in a large enough group to have fun and hang out together to make the time pass by. At 8:45, one entire hour after our reservation, we asked to speak with the manager, who told us he’d get us a couple free appetizers while we continue to wait. We got a couple California rolls and a crunch roll. At 9:30pm, nearly 2 hours after our reservation, they took us to our table. At 10:15pm, NO ONE has still come by. We felt like complete idiots. We got up from our table, asked to speak with the manager again, who quietly apologized and said this should have never happened and we should have had food by now. I’m sorry, HOW? No one came to take our order. No teppanyaki chef came to our grill. How long are we supposed to acquire food without someone from the restaurant being involved? Although he apologized, we did not feel that this was an appropriate solution to our issue. They could have comped our drinks. They should have told us at the outset that they were running hours behind rather than miss inform us that they were only 30 minutes behind. this completely ruined our night and left us with very limited options for dinner. Our poor kids were total troopers, but Benihana‘s staff, management and overall response was absolutely unacceptable!
