   This is a restaurant for lower middle class customers to go so they can feel upper middle class for a meal. A lot of show and no service. Arrived at 5:44 for 5:45 reservation. Still waited 35 minutes to be seated. No point in a reservation, perhaps it’s the nature of the service. Expect to wait when you arrive on time. This is what it is, but the hostess could explain, but instead she “Just didn’t know how long it will be until you are seated.” It’s overpriced for what you get.

   We always recommend Bennihana in Plano to friends and family. They have always been consistent with any meal we have ordered. Valentine's, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. .they do not slack on service or quality . We Love Charmine the server! She is awesome.

   Everything was fantastic except for the wait. We had a 715 reservation and didn’t get seated until after 8. I get that it was Valentine’s Day but that should have been compensated for in planning out reservation amounts you would accept. Our server and chef were great, food was great, so other than reservation issue we enjoyed our experience.

   For a very busy night (Valentine’s) it was amazingly good. We enjoyed our dinner very much.

   Good food, but tables are extremely cramped. Server took a very long time getting the checks. Uncomfortable hot

   Me and my daughter celebrate our birthday here every year and we have had the experience that we had dining here yesterday. It was a lot of my families first time dining at a hibachi restaurant let alone Benihana and I wanted to make sure they enjoyed the overall experience. To start my server was very rude and impatient. Every time someone had a question about the menu she either huffed and puffed or rolled her eyes. Just horrible service. (I can’t even mention her name because the manager put the receipt in his name so there’s that.) I spoke to one of the managers Brain and explained how she was acting and was rude and messed all of our orders up, and requested for someone new. He didn’t give me a new server just had her comp apologize. Again horrible service! When you go to hibachi you go for the experience, the guy who cooked for us didn’t give us a show or anything he literally just cooked, and when I mentioned it he said “I’ll do it tomorrow.” After it was all said and done the server had the nerve to bring my check with 20% mandatory gratuity, which their website doesn’t say anything about a guaranteed gratuity amount. So again, I spoke to the manager this time Jorge. Gave him my concerns and the only thing he did was take off the $108 gratuity that was added in. Which I think was not really doing anything because I’m still going to give a tip, because I’m not that type of person to not tip even if the service was as bad as it was. I say all that to say, I will be taking my issue up the corporate chain and they will never see me back at this location! Go to a regular hibachi restaurant you will get wayyyy better service and food quality.

   This was my first time eating at Benihanas and it was a great experience. I had a watermelon margarita actually two and they were amazing and could tell it had liquor in it and not just the mix. I will return. Our cook was funny, entertaining, and friendly.
