    We were seated a waited about 10 minutes before the floor manager served us. She was pleasant and professional and were impressed by her service. We had a bottled of wine, which she decanted, oysters and cocktails. We enjoyed all the oysters, our cocktails, and a glass of wine before our server returned to clear our dishes. We actually had to say to him we are ready to order apps and entrees, he seemed unimpressed, but did take our food order. (All the dishes were amazing!) We did not see our server again until the final bites of our entrees (no quality checks during apps, start of entrees, or to pour wine, etc, perhaps about 25 minutes; the food runners brought our meals out) He cleared my empty wine glass and did not ask if I wanted anything else. This was all made worse by the fact that we given ourselves 2.15 hours to enjoy our meal, to order dessert and coffees, etc, but had to rush out with our last bites of our entrees in our mouths to make our show.

    The renovated restaurant is very nice. I was a little disappointed that we were not able to get the table configuration I wanted… we were 8 and barrack style seating is not conducive to conversation with all. That said I was told I would get the white table cloth at our table. Unfortunately even though promised by the manager… we did not get it.

    Love the new premises. Inside, the ambiance is refreshing with soft lighting and pleasing colours and decor. We came for the liver and onions…and Biff’s kitchen did not disappoint! Cooked to the requested pink inside, it was yummy. The Caesar salad beforehand was also good.
