   Every Christmas Eve we go to big easy to eat , but this year wasn’t too good , first was the service , I thing the waitress was in hurry to go home so she was serving very bad , not given too much attention, second me and my son we order 1.5 lbs lobster but knowing a lot about lobster ( because I was born in Boston U.S.A ) and we usually eat lots of lobster, this wasn’t 1.5 Lbs , never never , and Carolina pulled pork that my wife order wasn’t too good also , the atmosphere was very good and the price is average for this time of the year, so for next year we don’t know if we gonna go again !

   It was a shame, the Big Easy is usually very good. I rave about it to all my friends and family but this visit for a special occasion was very disappointing. My one prawn on my plate clearly wasn't cleaned as the vein complete with black muck was still visible. The 2 pints my friend got with his Monday deal was actually well below the mark which said was 2 pints. He also got an unlimited deal but when asking for more ribs, got just one on a plate. My lobster bake was actually half a lobster, something not obvious on the menu. Had I known I would have ordered something different. For the well over £200 we spent, I'd have expected better.

   My food was cold didn't see the server again to complain they were really busy though. Was told we needed to vacate our table at the end but had been waiting 20 mins to pay the bill. Normally it is really good which was why we booked.

   Unbelievably Poor 1). Lethargic staff 2). Bar staff - 3 “working” only one of them eventually made eye contact and considering only me and one other customer waiting it still took ages. 3). Food was shocking - dry ribs and overcooked lobster - £34.50, barely warm beans, coleslaw tasted fizzy. 4). Mains did not come all at once. 5). Spicy Chicken burger was so basic not even passable as a take away delivered burger. 6). Trying to get server to get our bill took forever. 7). “Happy Hour” - yes £5 pints and £2 off medium vibes but kids mocktail was £7.90 and not discounted. 8). We told our sever about the issues, she wasn’t the slightest bit interested, nor any apology. It’s obviously changed hands, used ti be a great, authentic place with top food and service. Based on yesterday it’s miles off and just a tourist trap. What a shame!

   Lots of little things wrong. Drinks wrong. Forgot to seat us. Tried to seat us on high stools even though we booked regular seating as we had a four year old. Menu items not available. Portion sizes are nothing like Kings Road used to be. Staff seem uninterested. Asked for service charge to be removed, when asked why, I was offered no response to all the issues.

   Really good experience. Food was high quality version of classic American style. Liked the live music and our server was super friendly

   An experience i would rather forget! We arrived and had to wait 20 minutes for our pre booked table. When we were seated we had to wait at least 25 minutes before our order was take,. then waited at least 30 minutes for our starters which quite frankly were sub standard! Loaded potatoes, and rib ends... were not hot and supplied with no additional sauces or dressings. We had to wait so long for our mains, we gave up. paid the bill and left. The food came while we were on our way out the door and the waiter kindly insisted that we eat the food and it wont be charged. Well as we were Hungary, we took up the offer, re sat down and tried the food... My wife had a chicken Caesar salad and i had the ribs! We should of just kept walking out. The salad was a Childs portion with about for 4 pieces of chicken on and the ribs, well!! dry, tasteless and tough,. Excuse was that they were short staffed ... Needless to say, if your short staffed, dont take the bookings. We will most definitely not be going to the big easy covent gardens again. Extrekely dissapointing meal after a great day in London....

   Disappointed - long queue to be sat to table, ordered a cheaper bottle of lemonade but charged for a full pint, chicken and chips were dry and unflavourful, macaroni cheese looked like a kids side portion and the tasted like plain pasta. Also overpriced. Don’t waste your time.

    Issues with reservation: when we arrived for our 10 pm reservation, they stated they were closing at 10! Open table offered and allowed the reservation! Resolution: the hostess and manager ended up honoring the reservations! We were served delicious, hot and freshly made food! Our server was a bit miffed that she was there longer but still provided great service! Thank you for feeding these hungry tourists with the late reservation!
