With lockdown restrictions in place for a few more months, Mother’s Day celebrations will look a little different this year. There might be Zoom calls instead of pub lunches, or simply fewer people around your table, but there are still ways to make the day feel special. We’ve rounded up some of the best meal kits and food gifts you can get delivered, whether you’re able to see your Mum or you’re sending some long-distance love.

The Cinnamon Collection – Chef Vivek Singh has put together a four-course menu that features some of his favourite dishes and celebrates the influence his Mum’s cooking has had on him. Priced at £125 for two, it includes Bengali vegetable cakes, shrimp in coconut and cardamom curry, and slow-cooked spiced leg of lamb. For an extra treat, you can add a cookbook, Champagne, or pre-mixed cocktails.Claude Bosi at Bibendum – After a year like no other, treat Mum to a fine dining feast created by award-winning chef Claude Bosi. Taking classic French flavours to the next level, the menu features Cornish crab quiche and black leg chicken with morels, asparagus, vin jaune and black truffle sauce. Canapés and petit fours are also included, so all you need to do is set the table and pour a glass of Mum’s favourite wine.

Petersham Nurseries – In a few months time, we’ll be able to dine surrounded by flowers in their glorious greenhouse, but until then, Petersham Nurseries are delivering seasonal, Italian-inspired dishes made with ingredients from their Devon farm. Their Mother’s Day menu starts with rose Bellinis and nettle risotto, followed by braised and pan-fried lamb, crème caramel, and a cheese course.

Hot Stone – If your Mum likes Japanese food, she’ll love Hot Stone’s decadent ‘Surf and Turf’ menu. Designed by chef Padam Raj Rai with his own mother in mind, it features lychee Martinis and tataki and sukiyaki rolls made with top quality Wagyu beef. Next, unwrap a beautiful chirashi box to discover a stunning seafood selection – scallops, rich fatty tuna, Hamachi and ikura topped with truffle and caviar.

COYA – Surprise your Mum with a sweet treat and cocktail delivery from one of London’s top Peruvian restaurants. German Gymnasium – Fancy a change from chicken or beef? Give your roast a German twist with a whole roast duck served with braised red cabbage, potato dumplings, and duck jus. There’s a smoked salmon starter and apple strudel thrown in for good measure, plus a fillet steak alternative if you’re not into duck.
