Looking for somewhere new to eat this month? Check out some of the restaurants that have recently joined OpenTable, including a very exciting Parisian import in Covent Garden.
Frenchie – Gregory Marchand, the man behind the hugely popular Frenchie in Paris, has opened a new restaurant in Covent Garden. Expect ‘simple and generous’ European dishes, an ever-changing wine list and a daily lunch menu offering two courses for just £22.
Beef & Brew – Treat the carnivore in your life to craft beer and delicious (and affordable) steaks at this Kentish Town gem. They also serve a great burger and a beef cheek French dip sandwich.
Thyme & Lemon – At this buzzy Islington newcomer, you can linger over a bottle of wine and enjoy tapas dishes like ham croquetas, lamb cutlets with aubergine pistou, and tiger prawns with chilli and garlic.
Rudie’s – For a taste of Jamaica, head to Rudie’s in Dalston for rum cocktails, small plates and jerk. Their meat is marinated for 24 hours and cooked on traditional jerk drums for that authentic smoky flavour.
OXBO Bankside – Just a stone’s throw from the Tate Modern, OXBO serves traditional British dishes, hearty breakfasts, and superb Sunday roasts with the option to upgrade to unlimited Prosecco.
Gino D’Acampo My Restaurant – Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo has opened a restaurant in Manchester’s Corn Exchange, serving delicious Italian dishes from breakfast through to dinner.
Pier Eight – With its stunning waterside setting overlooking Salford Quays, Pier Eight is the perfect setting for lunch or a pre-show meal. Choose from modern British dishes like Cheshire lamb rump with Lyonnaise potatoes, salmon in shallot cream sauce, and scallops with bacon and cauliflower purée.
The Tayberry – Award-winning chef Adam Newth has opened his first solo restaurant at Broughty Ferry in Dundee. His modern Scottish cooking has already received rave reviews from locals.
Seasons – At this unique restaurant in Edinburgh, there’s no menu – just a list of seasonal ingredients sourced from Scotland and Scandinavia that are then transformed into dishes by Matthew Urry and his team.
