New OpenTable restaurants: Temple and Sons, Carters of Moseley, OBLIX and more

Say goodbye to the January detox and hello to a delicious new dining experience! We’ve got a bumper crop of newcomers this month, from celeb chef restaurants in the Capital to local favourites in Cardiff, Liverpool and beyond.

Temple and Sons – Jason Atherton has opened a new City restaurant, spread over two floors with interiors inspired by a Victorian grocery. Dine in style in the grill restaurant or enjoy snacks and small plates in the all-day deli and bar.

La Dame de Pic – Renowned French chef Anne Sophie Pic has opened her first London restaurant. Expect creative French cuisine in the stunning surroundings of the Four Seasons Hotel at Ten Trinity Square.

OBLIX – Situated on the 32nd floor of The Shard, OBLIX offers a sophisticated but relaxed dining experience and panoramic views across the London skyline. Enjoy an unforgettable dinner in the restaurant or book a table in the lounge-bar for weekend brunch or afternoon tea.

Le Relais de Venise – Beat the queue for one of London’s best-loved bargains – a green salad with mustard vinaigrette followed by steak frites for just £24. Book a table at their restaurants in Soho or Canary Wharf.

Polpo – If you’re already a fan of the Venetian-inspired cicheti and small plates at Polpo, we have good news – they’re now bookable on OpenTable. Pop in for a pizzette and spritz or linger over dishes like fritto misto, chilli-garlic prawns, and their famous meatballs.

The Gate – Following the success of their vegetarian restaurants in Islington and Hammersmith, the tema behind The Gate have opened a new meat-free restaurant in Marylebone.

Aviary – It might be a little chilly, but you can still enjoy the view from London’s newest rooftop dining destination on Finsbury Square. Go for lunch, Saturday brunch, or dinner and cocktails as the sun sets over the City.

Also new in London: Jamavar; Exmouth Market pizzeria, Panzo; Camden newcomers Miusan and Inamo; Yashin Ocean House; Tapas Brindisa (Soho); The Holy Birds, Yosma, and CERU.

Carters of Moseley – We’re thrilled to welcome this award-winning Birmingham restaurant to the OpenTable family. In a relaxed and welcoming setting, chef Brad Carter and his team create dishes which are light and modern, with an emphasis on clean flavours and seasonal ingredients.

The George at Baldock – A contemporary British restaurant, cocktail bar and hotel set in a renovated Georgian coaching inn in the historic market town of Baldock, Herts.

Barley & Rye – At this Cardiff bier bar and kitchen, their seasonal Welsh dishes are all matched to local and imported beers. Their locally sourced steaks are excellent and there are over 45 whiskeys to choose from if you fancy an after-dinner tipple.

Chicha Peruvian Street Kitchen – Bringing the bold, vibrant flavours of Peru to Liverpool, Chicha serves superb ceviche alongside street food dishes like aji chilli barbecue ribs, spiced slow-braised pork belly, and peanut crusted soft shell crab.

Sutlers Bar & Kitchen – If you’re dining out in York this month, grab a table at Sutlers and enjoy their signature steaks, freshly made burgers, and beer battered fish and chips.
