Cheers to the weekend: 10 top boozy brunches in New York

Rolling out of bed for a weekend bottomless brunch is as New York as fresh bagels and lox. Celebrate the time-honoured tradition of joining your friends for some day drinking while eating a killer avocado smash on the side. The city has so many options to choose from, but these are some of the top boozy brunches in NYC to celebrate the weekend.

Hotel Chantelle
Take the elevator up to this stunningly chic rooftop for an ideal brunch with your crew or out-of-town guests. There’s no bottomless brunch here, but with the insanely thrifty specialty cocktail prices, there might as well be. The Easy Passage cocktail, made with vodka, lemon juice, and Prosecco, is just 92 cents and a mimosa, Bellini, or Bloody Mary is $4.92.

Delilah
The attentive wait staff will make sure your glass will never be empty at this Lower East Side haunt. Not only are the endless drinks on point, but their Mediterranean-style dishes hit the spot, too, as do standards, such as the turkey club. For $35 per person, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better deal in Manhattan.

Sanfords Restaurant
There’s a two-drink minimum for this boozy brunch in Astoria, Queens. Add $10 to any dish you purchase and choose two drinks from a list of cocktails with coffee, tea, or hot cocoa. If you love a sweet brunch, order a Bellini and the Nutella s’mores pancakes or waffles. Or if you prefer savoury, go for the Bloody Mary and pulled pork Eggs Benedict.

Lido
Few things are more comforting after a late night out than a hearty bowl of pasta or a biscuit with scrambled eggs and bacon. Add on bottomless mimosas for an extra $16 and it’s the perfect Sunday brunch. This Harlem spot has plenty of seating so grab a big group and kick off the weekend right.

Poco
A self-proclaimed home-away-from-home for the residents of Alphabet City, this spot serves some excellent hair-of-the-dog options. Order an entrée and choose between bottomless mimosas, Bloody Marys, or sangria for $33. Remember to stop at a cash point first because Poco is cash-only.

Pig & Khao
This LES favourite serves authentic Southeast Asian dishes, such as longonissa sausage, alongside classics like brioche French toast. Order bottomless mimosas or self-serve draft Narragansett for an extra $15. Note: There’s a two-hour limit.

Carroll Place
It doesn’t get much better than a spacious Italian wine bar with a bottomless brunch in the heart of Greenwich Village. Get in on the action and snack on a wood-oven breakfast pizza or baked truffle eggs with your endless mimosa for just $26. This place is packed on the weekends, so plan ahead.

Agave
This south-western spot is one of New York’s most iconic boozy brunch institutions. Come in for endless refills of mimosas, wine, or frozen Margaritas until you’ve reached the two-hour limit. The flavourful drinks, comforting dishes, and festive atmosphere are worth getting out of bed for.

Dos Caminos
One of the city’s most prolific Mexican chains serves up tableside guac and unlimited cocktails for an additional $18 with your entrée. Decide between their famous frozen Margarita, Bloody Mary, mimosa, Screwdriver, or sparkling wine. The options may be overwhelming, but with two hours to kill you can try them all.

Calle Ocho
Come for the Pollo Ranchero, but stay for the eight different flavours of sangria. For less than $30, you’ll get an authentic Mexican entrée with bottomless red or white. Try the Havana Banana, Spanish Harlem, and Samba in one sitting. But these glasses pack a punch, so pace yourself over the two-hour maximum stay.
