The Hot List: 5 foodie things to do in London this weekend

What’s on your To Do list this weekend? The big shop? Burning a few more bangers on the barbecue? We’ve got some better ideas.

Soho Food Feast – 9-10 June
Soho Food Feast is back for it’s eighth year this weekend, working with some of London’s top restaurants to raise money for Soho Parish Primary School. Snap up one of the remaining tickets and enjoy an afternoon of cooking demos, cocktails, live music, and an unmissable raffle. This year’s restaurant line-up includes Temper, Bao, Ember Yard, Hoppers, and Kiln, so come hungry!

Tanqueray Tea Garden at Yauatcha City
To celebrate the arrival of summer, Yauatcha City have teamed up with Tanqueray No. TEN to transform their East terrace into a Chinese tea garden, surrounded by a canopy of lush green foliage and decorated with red lanterns and candles. You can sign up for a gin and tea infusion masterclass or just pop by after work for drinks overlooking Broadgate Circle. The cocktails are designed to pair Tanqueray No. TEN gin, with its citrus and grapefruit flavours, with Chinese teas and light craft tonics, using ‘flash infusion’. Be sure to order some of their dim sum to enjoy with your drink.

Fancy staying for dinner? Book a table and enjoy a tasting menu and a cocktail for £35pp.

KERB Presents: NOSHVILLE – 8-10 June
The tastiest hoedown in town returns for three days of all-American street food, music and more on Granary Square. Expect back-porch, bluegrass and roots music from this year’s Maverick Festival line-up, plus a hot dog eating contest, inflatable bowling, and cocktails and craft beer on tap. KERB’s street food stars will be serving USA-inspired specials like ‘Bayou Biteback’ alligator nuggets, Nashville fried chicken burgers, peanut butter jelly sandwiches, and Texas-style beef chilli nachos.

Le Bon Brunch at Le Pont de la Tour
Every Saturday and Sunday, Le Pont de la Tour serves brunch with a French twist in their riverside bar and grill. You can indulge your sweet tooth with French toast or crêpes with summer berries, or enjoy savoury dishes like black truffle scrambled eggs or grilled sea trout with asparagus and hollandaise. If the sun’s out, you can dine al fresco on their terrace and enjoy £5 St Germain cocktails like the refreshing Butlers Wharf Spritz.

Le Bon Brunch: 2 courses for £24.50 or 3 for £29.50. Visit OpenTable to book a table.

World Gin Day – 9 June
This year, the World Gin Day founders have teamed up with DrinkUp.London to host a four-day festival celebrating gin across the capital. There are pop-ups and parties to check out, plus bespoke gin cocktails available for £6 (for wristband holders) at bars like Madison, Graphic, and Callooh Callay. There’s a handful of Sunday tickets left for Junipalooza but if you miss out, why not book a gin tasting at the City of London Distillery or enjoy a pre-dinner G&T at the Gin Bar at Holborn Dining Room? (There are over 500 gins to choose from!)
