Give your favourite burger joint a break this month and check out the new kids on the block. We’ve rounded up six new burgers you need to try, from a five-bird beast to one slathered in burnt butter mayo.
Kick-start your festive feasting with a trip to MEATliquor to try The Burgducken, a meaty collab with Tom Kerridge and The Coach in Marlow. Inspired by the Turducken (a five-bird roast), the patty is made with turkey, chicken, duck, pigeon, pheasant and minced pork belly. It’s then deep-fried and served in a bun with cranberry and brandy mayo, Brussel sprout slaw, Christmas pudding ketchup, and a piggy in a blanket. It’s good karma too, with £1 from each one going to Hospitality Action. Try it for yourself at MEATliquor King’s Cross from November 27th, and at all other branches from December 4th.
Lazy Hunter’s Lazy Beast Burger
Ok, this one has been on the menu for a while, but it might not be on your radar yet. If you’re out in Camden, ditch the busy high street and head down Kentish Town Road for a meat feast at Lazy Hunter. You might have to unhinge your jaw to get stuck into their Lazy Beast – a pork and venison patty topped with bacon, cheese, a flat mushroom, and sticky onion chutney.
Burger & Beyond’s B.B.B (Bacon Butter Burger)
We didn’t think their burgers could get any better, until we heard about this new special. Two 90-day aged beef patties with pancetta bacon and burnt butter mayo – seriously messy and totally delicious. It’s only available at Giant Robot, so if you haven’t checked out the Canary Wharf street food rooftopia yet, this is a very good reason to hop on the DLR.

Hawksmoor’s Bacon Double Cheeseburger
Hawksmoor’s ‘Third Burger’ changes each season to give their chefs a chance to get creative, and they’ve outdone themselves with this pimped bacon double cheeseburger. Come hungry – that’s two beef patties, smoked bacon chaps, London Comte cheese, barbecue sauce, and bread and butter pickles. It’s on the bar menu at Hawksmoor Seven Dials until the end of January.
Honest Burger’s Chimichurri 2.0
Honest Burgers have teamed up with street food steak experts, Up In My Grill, to give their Chimichurri special a bit of a revamp. If you like bold flavours and a bit of heat, this is the one for you. The burger starts with caramelised shallot mayo and Malbec pickled onions, followed by the beef patty, melted provolone cheese, chorizo relish, and Up In My Grill’s tangy red chimichurri, spiked with smoked paprika and chilli. It’s on the menu until December 4th – don’t miss out!
The latest addition to the Band of Burgers menu is this beefy beauty – The American. Proving that everything’s better with cheese, they’ve topped their American Angus beef with a fried aged cheddar cheese patty and spicy tomato relish. Try it for yourself at their burger joints in Camden and Brick Lane. (Photo Credit: @ayshahasan123 and @LukeCatleugh.)
