Easter for adults: Chocolate cocktails for the long weekend

Making plans for the Easter weekend? There are only so many hot cross buns and Crème Egg crodoughs you can eat, so why not get your chocolate fix with one of these limited edition cocktails?

The Honey Bunny at Heddon Street Kitchen – £9.00, available until 28th March.

Treat your favourite chocoholic to a meal at Gordon Ramsay’s Heddon Street Kitchen followed by a Honey Bunny cocktail. Perfect for diners with a sweet tooth, it’s a blend of Bacardi Carta Blanca, orange curaçao, Mozart White Chocolate Liqueur and a dash of chocolate bitters. For an extra touch of decadence, it’s finished with an egg yolk foam and a sticky chocolate orange rim.

Easter Choctails at The Botanist – £10 for three, available until 28th March.

The Botanist on Sloane Square has created three boozy, dessert-inspired concoctions served up in hollow chocolate Easter eggs. There are three flavours to enjoy – tangy Raspberry Brûlée, a creamy Tiramisu, and Passionfruit and Vanilla Martini. Can’t make it to Chelsea? The choctails are also available at The Botanist Broadgate and One Canada Square.

The ‘Easterical’ Cocktail at Aqua Nueva – available until March 28th.

Just a stone’s throw from Carnaby Street is Aqua Nueva – a glitzy Spanish restaurant with a buzzy bar and roof terrace overlooking the West End. The menu features contemporary Spanish dishes like hand-dived scallops with crab gratin and Galician octopus stuffed pastry. This weekend, they’re serving an ‘Easterical’ cocktail made with dark rum, banana liqueur, almond milk, and white and dark chocolate liqueur – dessert in a glass!

Poisoned Hot Chocolate at Balans Soho Society – £8.50, available until 3rd April.

If you’re still waiting for some spring sunshine, head to Balans and warm up with a hot chocolate spiked with Amaretto, Cointreau or Baileys, topped with liqueur soaked marshmallows and shavings of 70% dark chocolate. If you’re really hungry, order their infamous Balans Burger or the 10oz rib-eye steak with lobster potato skins and béarnaise sauce.

Flip The Bunny at MASH – £9.50, available until March 28th.

Turn date night into steak night at West End steakhouse, MASH – home to some of the best beef in town! Their Easter special is a twist on the traditional Flip – a delicious blend of Maker’s Mark, Pedro Ximénez sherry, orange curacao, chocolate bitters and one whole egg. If you like the combination of orange and chocolate, you’ll love this drink!
