New OpenTable restaurants: Talli Joe, Som Saa, Provenance & more

We’ve got a fantastic batch of OpenTable newcomers this month, including some of London’s hottest new openings and dining destinations in Leeds, Bristol and Edinburgh. Time to start planning your weekend!

Talli Joe – If you’re craving spice but fancy something a little different, head to West End newcomer, Talli Joe, for spice-infused cocktails and Indian small plates like kale chaat, beef pepper fry, and rasam shrimp shots.

Som Saa – Want to beat the queue at one of London’s top Thai restaurants? You can now book a table for 4 or more at Som Saa’s Spitalfields restaurant. Get some friends together and try authentic Thai dishes like jungle curry, som tam (fiery papaya salad), and whole deep-fried sea bass with roasted rice and Isaan herbs.

Rotorino – Chef Stevie Parle opened this Italian restaurant in Dalston back in 2014 and it was an instant hit with locals and critics alike. Expect sunny southern Italian flavours and a fantastic wine list with plenty of choice by the glass.

Strut and Cluck – Tired of chicken? Try free range turkey with an Eastern Mediterranean twist at this new addition to the Shoreditch food scene. Their han-pulled shawarma, slow-roast thighs, and sticky wings will banish any memories of dry Christmas birds. Wash it all down with a cold beer or a Red Hot Rita tequila cocktail.

Galvin at the Athenaeum – Dine in style at the Galvin brothers’ latest restaurant in the heart of Mayfair. For the first time they have stepped away from classic French cooking in favour of British dishes made with home-grown produce and the menu looks fantastic. If you’re celebrating this month, this would be an excellent place to do it.

Blandford Comptoir – Enjoy Mediterranean dishes with an Italian influence at Xavier Rousset’s new restaurant in Marylebone. Wine enthusiasts have over 250 bottles to choose from, plus over 40 Champagnes.

Also new in London: The Ivy Café Wimbledon, Gotto Trattoria, Rok IslingtonBronte, Craft London, and Mustard.

The Ivy Clifton Brasserie – The Ivy will open its first restaurant outside London in Bristol on August 2nd. The Ivy Clifton Brasserie will be open seven days a week serving classic British dishes, brunch, cocktails, and afternoon tea.

Chai Naasto – This modern Beckenham restaurant is inspired by the vibrant flavours of Indian street food. Forget the curry house classics and tuck into gunpowder chicken wings, paani puri shots, and fragrant seekh kebabs.

The Swine That Dines – At this intimate restaurant in Leeds, chef Stuart Myers showcases seasonal British produce in creative small plates. Don’t miss the #RootsToShoots vegetarian menu, available on the first weekend of every month.

Field Grill House – This modern Scottish grill house is already receiving rave reviews from OpenTable diners. Head chef Gordon Craig has worked at top restaurants like The Waterside Inn and The Plumed Horse, so you can expect first class cooking and friendly, clued-up service.

Provenance – As the name suggests, this Bolton gem uses top quality local produce in their ambitious British dishes. The smart dining room and slick service make it a great choice for date night dinners and celebratory gatherings.
