The food of love: Valentine’s Day dinner deliveries in London

We might be all loved up with nowhere to go this Valentine’s, but that doesn’t mean romance is off the menu. Some of London’s top restaurants have created meal kits and finish-at-home menus, so you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time making memories. Whether you fancy burgers, tapas, or a show-stopping beef Wellington, let’s make it a date night to remember.

Jason Atherton at Home
Treat your special someone to a Valentine’s meal put together by celeb chef Jason Atherton. He’s teamed up with Lake District Farmers to create an indulgent four-course feast – roast Orkney scallops, aged beef fillet and braised ox cheek, followed by a bitter chocolate and hazelnut delice.

£200 for two, including nationwide delivery on 12th February.

Burger & Beyond
If your lover can never resist a burger, treat them to one of the best in town with a DIY kit from Burger & Beyond. It’s got everything you need to recreate their legendary bacon butter burger, plus fried chicken, loaded tots, and brownies for dessert. Pop the prosecco, fire up the grill, and don’t forget the all important #burgerswithbae selfie for your Instagram.

The Tapas Room
Get hands on this Valentine’s Day with The Tapas Room’s live cookalong. Simply book your ticket, collect your hamper, and join via Zoom to watch chef Paul Belcher prepare dishes like confit fennel with figs and blue cheese and duck breast with spiced squash puree. The hamper includes all the ingredients for your three-course Spanish supper, plus deli items, Cava, sherry, and a bottle of red.

Norma
Make it a night to remember with a Sicilian-inspired four-course feast, plus petit fours, cocktails, and a bottle of red wine. Kick things off with scallops with bottarga butter and winter tomatoes with whipped ricotta, followed by a primi course of fresh pasta with Sicilian red prawns, chilli and fennel. The main event is an Italian classic: aged beef tagliata with radicchio, truffled potatoes and pecorino sauce. If you’ve still got room, there’s a dark chocolate, coffee and walnut cake and a glass of Marsala to wind down the evening.

£175 for two, delivered on 12th February.

Only Jerkin’
If your love language is more fried chicken than fine dining, Only Jerkin’ has everything you need for a night of nugs and kisses on the sofa. Their classic kit includes jerk chicken nuggets, mango coconut strips, and BBQ wings, plus fried plantain, two sauces and jerk gravy for dipping and dunking. Go deluxe for an extra tenner and they’ll throw in some Brooklyn brownies and two Hennessey and ginger beer cocktails.

Musette by Tom Aikens
Chef Tom Aikens has partnered with Finish & Feast to bring fine dining home with dishes influenced by his culinary career. Choose from slow-cooked lamb shoulder with spring onion mash or 24-hour braised short rib served with individual onion tatins. For dessert, there’s Tom’s signature dark chocolate mousse with layers of Chantilly cream and caramelised pistachio.

Menus are priced from £70, delivered on Fridays and available nationwide.

Café Murano
With trips to Italy on hold for now, we’ve found the next best thing. Angela Hartnett’s 5-course menu starts with classic antipasti – rosemary focaccia, mushroom arancini, salumi, and artichoke alla Romana. Next, a primi course of crab tortellini, followed by osso buco with risotto Milanese. With buttermilk panna cotta with rhubarb compote for dessert, all you have to do is light the candles and grab a fork.

£90 for two. Vegetarian main available on request. Delivered on 5th, 6th, 12th or 13th February.

Drake & Morgan x Laurent Perrier
We can do without the hearts and flowers, but pink fizz is one Valentine’s tradition we can all agree on. If you fancy a romantic steak supper, Drake & Morgan will deliver an aged Chateaubriand with sides, starter, and heart-shaped chocolate dessert, plus a bottle of Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé. Steak not your thing? They also do brunch boxes and cocktail kits, and a ‘Puppy Love’ box to share with your pampered pooch.

£125 for two, delivered on 12th February.

Smokestak
Earn some brownie points from the carnivore in your life with a delivery from top London barbecue joint, Smokestak. Start with a rhubarb fizz, then roll up your sleeves and get stuck into their famous 15-hour beef brisket, pulled pork, and mustard rarebit jacket potatoes. After a romantic interlude, or a tactical nap, there’s sticky toffee pudding and salted caramel for dessert.

£75 or £115 with wine. Delivered on 12th February.

Ormer Mayfair
A night out in Mayfair may be off the cards this year, but chef Kerth Gumbs has created a luxurious Valentine’s menu for you to enjoy at home. After creamy butternut velouté and Ormer’s signature scallop starter, you’ll share a stunning côte de boeuf with aged beef ragout, foie gras, and truffled mushrooms. There’s a warming apple crumble for dessert, plus the option to add a bottle of Champagne or wine chosen by their master sommelier. If we have to stay home, we may as well do it in style!

£159 for two. Menu available 11th to 14th February. Please order at least 48 hours in advance.

Spring To Go
Skye Gyngell has curated three decadent breakfast-in-bed boxes for Valentine’s Day, in collaboration with sustainable florist Kitten Grayson Flowers. There’s a box to suit all tastes, whether you fancy Champagne and caviar, coffee and rhubarb sun buns, or yoghurt and homemade granola.

Boxes from £50, delivered on 14th February.

Bluebird at Home
If you’d rather leave the cooking to the experts this Valentine’s, Bluebird will deliver a show-stopping dinner for two to your door. There’s Loch Duart salmon tartare and caviar, followed by beef Wellington with truffle potatoes, celeriac purée, and a rich red wine sauce. Keeping things seasonal, dessert is poached Yorkshire rhubarb with vanilla panna cotta and salted oat and almond crumble. They’re even throwing in pink macaroons and a half bottle of Champagne, so you just need to fill the ice bucket and set the mood.

£150 for two. Order by 12pm Wednesday for delivery on Friday or Saturday

Andrew Edmunds
A Soho institution since 1985, this candlelit Soho spot is one of the most romantic restaurants in London. Keep it on your list for future date nights and, until then, bring the magic home with their Valentine’s beef banquet. After dressed crab and cauliflower soup, you’ll prepare an aged beef wing rib with step-by-step video guidance from chef Tom Trubshaw. With chocolate terrine and poached rhubarb for dessert, this indulgent menu is guaranteed to impress.

£80 for two. Order via Dishpatch for nationwide delivery on Fridays.

Riding House at Home
Riding House Cafe’s new Soul Ride spin-off will wake up your taste buds with Caribbean-inspired comfort food. You’ll start your evening with a Taittinger Champagne and sorrel punch, tiger shrimp mac & cheese, and salt cod fritters with Bajan pepper sauce. The main course is a pimento-marinated côte de boeuf, served with crispy potatoes, chilli-garlic kale, creamed corn, and grilled cauliflower and plantain salsa. They’ve even included candles, games and a soulful playlist to get you in the mood. It’s quite the feast, so we won’t judge if you save the sticky toffee and rum pudding for breakfast the following day.

Ottolenghi
Ottolenghi’s shakshuka kit has everything you need to whip up a romantic Valentine’s brunch – fresh orange juice, Clarence Court eggs, labneh, and Dusty Knuckle focaccia to mop up that delicious shakshuka sauce. If your partner has a sweet tooth, there’s also a heart-shaped hamper filled with treats like raspberry lollipops, shortbread, and white chocolate and strawberry brittle hearts.
