                                                                                            Solid 4 star experience— server was attentive and kind and the salads and both risotto options really impressed us, as did buttermilk shrimp, but we thought the poached shrimp, chimichurri shrimp, oysters, and mahi taco bar were all pretty ordinary. Dessert selection is huge, borderline overwhelming. We appreciated the birthday glass of bubbly (which came with an extra plate of desserts). Nice drink menu with local beer choices.

                                                                                            Dry disappointed with recent experience. After traveling from Florid to share holiday with friends, I recommended visit and lunch at Grove Park, where dining experience has always been a true joy. This time was a great disappointment. Upon arriving, we had to hunt to find check in staff for seating with server overfly talkative although attentive. Salads and sesserts were plentiful and of good quality but entrees before par. Soup was watery, meats were dry with little taste, fish was overpowered by seasonings with most serving stations messy. Cost of buffet has never been an issue but this time I feel I did not receive what I paid for.

                                                                                            We had a terrific time. The Grove Park Inn is always gorgeous, but especailly so at the holidays. The buffet dinner at Blue Ridge was fabulous. Service was friendly and helpful, but not overbearing. My friend was celebrating her birthday and the restaurant graciously brought her a glass of champagne! Really lovely evening.
