   What can you say about Bobs in Plano? Every time I go there it’s always a superlative. It starts with SYLVIA. Who is the general manager. What’s really interesting? Is every night a celebration for so many people. Whether it’s the end of spring break at date, a family dinner like we had or any other reason Bobs knows the room, knows the anticipation and knows how to deliver on a wonderful evening! That wonderful evening starts with a greeting at the check-in desk. For us it was a reservation of six that then moved to 10! And they are able to accommodate us. It’s our Waiter who is familiar with us that comes in and takes our orders. The people that bring the bread and the water. Extra weight staff to come and bring the drinks. It’s the accommodations and attention to the young kids that were there. And then it’s the appetizers. The bacon wrapped shrimp out of this world! Fried shrimp. A massive meatball that the children devoured! It’s the wonderful bread and lots of butter. My number six grandson ate one of those by himself. It’s the steaks! Everybody got one. Cooked perfectly fillets all around! My number six ate a 12 ounce fillet. He’s only 11! My steak was perfect. Everybody’s was great. Cream corn if you’ve never done it get it absolutely out of this world. Mashed potatoes I never do that. Excellent. Spinach and mushrooms outstanding. And don’t forget the desserts. The grandchildren retired so we sent them home with Henry’s vanilla ice cream and everybody had a great time. The valet is always great. Our cars already to be retrieved. And it’s one of those places where now three generations eat there. My number one Grant out drove in her brand new car and that is three generations of Bobs diners. If you have any reason to eat out that night, business celebrations, family, or more , Bobs will deliver.

   It was too loud! Had to shout over everyone else shouting. The salad was drowning in dressing. The baked potato was dry and there was a long hair in it!!! They nickel and dimed us... why were we charged $2 for cherries and $3 for a carrot (NEITHER of which we asked for!!)? We're spending $400 for dinner. It should be a VERY nice experience. Sadly, it wasn't this time. Should have gone to Al Bernait's.

   Justin was our waiter this time and he was wonderful. He perfectly timed the entire meal and was an absolute pleasure. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the rest of our food was divine. Always a wonderful dinner at Bob’s and this time was no exception.

   The service was excellent. Dennis our waiter was terrific. The large Manhattan was a delicious cocktail and lasted the entire meal. My wife’s duck was very good. For a steakhouse, My steak was undercooked, it needed more time on the flame. Furthermore, the steak was chewy. The main course Was just disappointing to an otherwise good experience. Lastly, the wine list was extensive; very well organized.

    Our waiter, Abel made our experience fabulous. Love celebrating my husband’s birthday at Bob’s!
