   The other night I finally got around to visiting a steakhouse I've always wanted to go to but never have. Each year the list of Top 100 restaurants on Long Island is published. And they break it down into the various categories such as Italian, Mexican, Chinese, American, French, and others. And yes, steakhouses. The list changes somewhat from year to year as new restaurants are added and some are removed from the list. Not only are the restaurants ranked but individual reviews of the places are provided. I look forward to reading this every year. When it comes to the steakhouse section, one thing I noticed is that one particular steakhouse is not only on the list each and every single year without fail, but it's always ranked at or near the very top of the list. This always made me curious and I told myself that one day I would hit it. It's Bryant & Cooper in Roslyn. So the other night we went. I checked out the menu online before we went there and looked over the menu to get an idea of their offerings. On the menu I noticed among the steaks they have a Colorado Rib Steak and a Cajun Colorado Rib Steak. I spent a few hours going over many online reviews of Bryant & Cooper and you wouldn't believe the amount of people who were absolutely raving about the Cajun rib eye. Reviews that were making my mouth water. I kinda knew right then and there that I was probably going to order that. And I did. I first asked the waiter if Cajun in this case meant hot and spicy and he said it didn't. So after I enjoyed one of the finest tasting French Onion Soups ever, out came this steak on a long Tomahawk bone with the juices flowing all around it and cooked just the way I like it (somewhere between medium and medium well. I call it medium plus). From the very first bite, two things became extremely obvious. Number one, it was as tender as you'd ever want a steak to be and number two, the flavor simply burst in my mouth like the 4th of July; the way very few steaks ever have. Go!

   Fantastic meal. Excellent service. Great quality Bryant and Cooper salad, and steaks are better than all the steakhouses in the area

   Excellent professional service, seated promptly, serviced promptly, well explained specials of the evening by waitstaff. Busy Friday night, able to have pleasant conversation at table. Appetizers Clams casino, tuna tartare, mixed green all good nothing fancy, solid choices.. filet mignon, broiled salmon, broiled veal chop.. all very good. Sides, creamed spinach & asparagus both very good… dessert cheesecake & key lime .. skip dessert & coffee, my local bakery is 10x better and coffee was lukewarm at best… great experience… I expect more value for my money.. I’m a pro CIA FRENCH TRAINED chef WITH of over 25 yrs experience in some of the best restaurants in France/NYC and managing my own very successful places for the past 10+.. God Bless you all..

   Lamb chops overcooked. Ordered medium rare--- served medium well. Received last piece of banana pie. It was quite small.

    Awesome as always that is why we keep coming back. Drinks, apps and dinner were awesome, and to top It off, desert was just as good!
