  • Great for scenic views

  • Neighbourhood gem
This big open space with its easy, informal mood has an open kitchen where Bryn’s team of chefs turn simple, local, seasonal ingredients into extraordinary bistro-style food. Menus are served all day by interesting people who really understand food, and there are no rules, so you can do what you like: tuck into breakfast, graze over small plates at the bar, share a Sunday feast with family, watch the sun go down with friends. Good times with good people, and no distance between you and the beach.

The service and food were great, the setting was dramatic today with strong waves on the sea, but the area still had a positive vibe about it. Lovely breakfast setting for sure

We went here for a special birthday as it was recommended but the food was so disappointing. I had the fish of the day fish fingers and the fish was extremely dry, and the mushy peas were inedible. They were so dry - it was just a bowl of peas with the outer shells peeling off them. A member of the group had crab linguine and it looked disgusting. The pasta looked like it had been boiled for hours and there was no taste whatsoever to it. The crab looked like it had come out of a tin. Maybe we expected a little much because we thought there would be actual pieces of crab but it was just a few what looked like and tasted like flaked tinned crab on the top of the anemic pasta. The sauce was like water at the bottom of the bowl. As for the beef - I'm not sure what sauce was used on the beef but it tasted peculiar. Needless to say none of us actually finished our meal and left extremely disappointed. They were busy when we went but that can't really be used as an excuse for below standard average food. Needless to say we won't be going again. They didn't seem to have enough staff working so maybe that could have contributed to the disappointing meal and because it took over an hour for the meal to arrive we didn't have time to send it back

excellent food and service as always, visited many times now and the only slight negative is the limited menu choices. Maybe offer more local fish / scallops / mussels etc

Disappointed after visiting other restaurants with similar accolades that this visit did not meet the same standards due to one staff members poor customer service. Unfortunately due to my recent hip replacement I was slower walking to the restaurant and got there at 12.30 instead of 12.15. I apologised immediately and explained we would be gone by two to watch a rgc match. The waiter was clearly not happy and said to us each time he came to the table we would need to be gone by 2pm. We actually rushed then to finish by 1.45. I also asked if I could have an extra slice of bread with the soup and he reluctantly said he'd have to ask the chef. My friend had the fish fingers but had to ask for tartare sauce. These looked over cooked. Over all a disappointing experience. On a positive note the dessert, creme brulee, was delicious and much larger in proportion than the other dishes. The soup starter was flavoursome but as I was having as a main dish not a starter it was a small portion. Would I come back, probably not!

Thoroughly enjoyable breakfast with a beautiful sunny beach view. The staff went above and beyond to get us a fabulous seat. Lovely relaxing atmosphere and once again- excellent food .
