Your host Roberto Ercolani comes to Sarasota from Rome, Italy, bringing the best and most delicious authentic Italian dishes to this area. He has been in the restaurant business since his youth. As co-owner of CasAntica, Roberto provides a refined and unique Italian culinary boutique atmosphere.
The restaurant occupies a 1926 historic home nestled among the trees on the edge of downtown Sarasota. Patrons may choose indoor or outdoor dining (weather permitting), always the perfect setting... exclusive, romantic and intimate.

The Italian food here is the best I’ve had in Sarasota. Cute little place that has had some Hurricane damage, but food was excellent.

Outdoor seating was closed despite the fact that we reserved outdoor seating. Food came out cold and the atmosphere was dull.

homemade pasta is always delicious. food is always authentic and good. I've never been there when it's been crowded. small separate rooms, like a house makes it feel quaint and always quiet. A little bit of a musty smell, but then after the hurricanes everything has that smell. parking is easy across the street.

Pleasant surprise after we found we were the only customers for a pre-theater dinner just ahead of Thanksgiving. From the outside, the restaurant is a bit unprepossessing as winter approaches, but inside it was more like someone’s ornate living room - cosy and inviting. The service and food were excellent. However, it was still a bit strange without other customers. We will definitely return again.

So disapponted! We went for our second wedding anniversary. Chicken parm does not come with pasta. It is a $6.50 surcharge. What italian restaurant does not include pasta with your meal? Bread serving is 4 very small pieces of bread and the butter requested was small little plastic packets. Nothing special for an anniversary. The waitress said it was due to the hurricane.Our bill was almost $90 and that was for 2 entrees, 1 ceasar salad and 1 beer. I did not have a drink. We left hungry! Would not recommend. We had only been once before on Valentine’s Day where there was a set menu so we wanted to try again to sample the menu. Great choice! Bruschetta starter was fresh and tasty. My wife had the Beef Bolognese and I had the Veal Saltimboca with a side of spaghetti aglio olio and all were excellent. The only negative was we reserved on Open Table and indicated a birthday (my wife’s) which the restaurant did not acknowledge. Still a great pre-theatre meal.

Lovely restaurant! Food was very good! Excellent service! Need to mitigate the mold smell when you walk in. Main floor had a bit of mold scent. I know they just went through 2 hurricanes, we live here too. Just wanted to ensure they are aware. We'll be back! We enjoyed the Food, service & atmosphere!

This quaint jewel has authentic Italian cuisine...from the burrata to the chicken marsala. The fresh sautéed veggies are a must order! Attentive wait staff made it all the more special!
