    Charming location in the heart of historic downtown Oxford. Wonderful service. The dishes are clever updates on classic southern staples. The meal surpassed our expectations.

    Food was very, very poor. Two ribeyes, not good at all. Poor quality meat, thin, Too much too list but not good at all or par with reputation. Restaurant was freezing cold and uncomfortable.

    The food was okay. Nothing great. Brunch was better. It was expensive for what we got. It was so cold I, and many others in the restaurant, had to keep our coats on throughout dinner. It’s a pretty restaurant.

    First time in Oxford and we loved City Grocery. Started with Roasted carrots over goat cheese w/ bourbon honey. Delicious. Two of us had the Blackened Redfish and agreed it was the best prepared, most delicious fish we've had in a long time. Shrimp and Grits was delicious-love the addition of mushrooms. Roasted chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Don't miss the chocolate tarte for dessert. Had the cherry chip cake as well, but it was dry and lacked flavor Excellent service.
