Excellent dining experience full of ambience and delicious options. The view at golden hour of the river was exquisite. Our server was attentive and we had a great time celebrating a birthday in our party with a crème brule on top.

They "overbook," so folks with reservations still have to wait. Some of the people waiting couldn't even be seated, because the bar and waiting area were both solidly packed. I was a solo diner & was shown to a table set for 2, yet the second place setting was never removed, so my tiny table was very crowded. I was never offered water. The server was very friendly and pleasant, but never checked after my meal was served to see if everything was OK. The food itself was average, and overpriced. The asparagus was overcooked, the ends shriveled & pulpy. The lobster had no flavor. The butter for dipping had been infused with garlic, which would have overpowered any lobster, even one with some flavor to it. I nevertheless doggedly continued, trying a few bites without the butter, but no flavor was discernible. My cocktail was a martini, which appeared to have very little alcohol and had an unpleasant undertaste. I ordered plain vanilla ice cream for dessert, which arrived at least half melted and the rest mushy. The best part of the meal was the wine (Oregon A-Z pinot gris), which was just as good as I remembered it from trips to the Oregon Coast. Clink's is living on its past reputation. Fortunately for Clink's $, there are lots of Spokane folks who don't know the difference and are impressed by the pretentious front and the truly gorgeous historic site (the Flour Mill). My most recent previous experience was with the much-vaunted prime rib, which was likewise mediocre. I've eaten at Clink's off and on since the mid 70's and can attest that while the servers are enthusiastic and pleasant (mine certainly were), the food has steadily declined in quality, while the prices have steadily increased. What a shame.

Our waiter was very attentive and did an excellent job. The food was superb. We made a dinner reservation 2+ weeks prior, indicating it was a special occasion and would like a table by the window. We were a few minutes early for our dinner reservation, no problem, waited until our time was up, only to be told there were no tables available by the window, but we could wait 1/2 hour (or more) for one to open up, or be seated at our designated time we reserved, at a different table. Highly disappointing, under the circumstances mentioned . We feel strongly that they need to manage the window tables in a much better way.

I always enjoy going to this restaurant. I had my favorite pea salad and chose chicken to go with it but it was very dry. I probably won’t add the protein next time.

I figured I would try this restaurant based on the reviews for a business dinner. The service was excellent, the location was beautiful, and the food was very good. I would definitely come back again.

Incredible meal. The sea scallops were the best I've ever had. And the French onion soup and bread were excellent.
