Clos Maggiore is an oasis of calm in the heart of Covent Garden. Influenced by the stylish country inns of Provence and Tuscany its unique interiors create a warmth and intimacy enjoyed by both business and private parties. The conservatory has a fully retractable glass roof creating a bright and airy dining space. Our extensive cellar at Clos Maggiore includes over 2,000 labels and was extended earlier this year to include an additional 400 wines at a low – mid price range. We are very proud to have been awarded the “Best of Award of Excellence” consistently since 2003 by Wine Spectator.

Absolutely stunning restaurant but I must say it was very chaotic. Staff were very stressed and the booking in service was a shambles. We arrived early and were asked to sit in the waiting area - no problem with that, as we were early. We then waited for 30 minutes - 20 minutes passed our booking in time. We watched many people arrive and be seated ahead of us but we assumed we were waiting for a particular table to be cleared. I asked the maitre d' and had to give my name again - she looked shocked that I was still waiting. I thought I had booked to eat in the main restaurant but when we went to be seated we were taken upstairs. I was gutted and asked if we could be seated downstairs but was told it was full and we would have to wait longer. I do believe they botched my booking. Upstairs the staff were very slow and seemed overwhelmed. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful and even upstairs was pretty but not as nice as downstairs. The food was excellent. The price was reasonable for the meal. It was an enjoyable meal, it was just a shame that we were so mismanaged. Note to anyone - if you want to be seated in the main downstairs restaurant then you must stress that on the booking.

Good food but very average service. We ate at 2pm and it was clear that they weren’t ready for the next wave and big delays in service.

Food great, waitress great, restaurant looks great, would certainly go again. If I could recommend one thing it would be that the front of house/check in staff could be more friendlier as I found the lady not very helpful and a bit rude, but apart from that loved this restaurant.

Our dining experience exceeded our expectations. The restaurant felt so incredible cosy and festive, the ambience was lovely and the food was delightful. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back in the new year!

Had a special pre-Christmas dinner with family and it could not have been more perfect. So comfortable, such exquisite food, gorgeous holiday decor, attentive and professional servers…. I would recommend it for special occasions or any occasion, for that matter. Who doesn’t want fine things?

Great value pretheatre menu - a little truffle heavy for the vegetarians! Service slowed a little between main and dessert which isn’t ideal pre-theatre!

Food was disappointingly average. Expected more for such a high price point. Sat upstairs so not able to see the beautiful decorations we had come for. All in all, just average. Would not return. I will say waiting staff were wonderful
