Clos Maggiore is an oasis of calm in the heart of Covent Garden. Influenced by the stylish country inns of Provence and Tuscany its unique interiors create a warmth and intimacy enjoyed by both business and private parties. The conservatory has a fully retractable glass roof creating a bright and airy dining space. Our extensive cellar at Clos Maggiore includes over 2,000 labels and was extended earlier this year to include an additional 400 wines at a low – mid price range. We are very proud to have been awarded the “Best of Award of Excellence” consistently since 2003 by Wine Spectator.

    Lovely experience, if we hadn’t been at the front next to the waiting area the ambiance would have been perfect. The wine that was first selected for us wasn’t brilliant but the food was outstanding. The only complaint with the service was that we had to ask for our wine to be topped up a couple of times throughout the meal despite having purchased a bottle that was not kept at our table. The steak tartare was the highlight of the meal!

    Enjoyed our evening overall. The entrance / waiting space is a bit awkward and we were seated not in the main dining room. I’d suggest you request this if you want to be sat there. Service was initially quite slow and disorganised. The wine order specifically. Our waiter for the evening was very pleasant and checked in throughout the meal after initially being slow. Topping up glasses and water I expected them to be a bit hotter on. They very kindly acknowledged our anniversary with a complimentary dessert. Overall a good experience but some bits let it down to making it an excellent one.

    Our second visit here. We were hoping and expecting good food but they surpassed our expectations. The food has so much flavour with perfect portion size. The staff are both highly professional and at the same time friendly.
