We dine at Ruth's Chris several times a year for birthdays, anniversaries, business dinners, etc. Their food and service are always top-notch.
After our most recent visit I am happy to applaud the local restaurant with what seems to be their new(?) seating policies. They seem to have perfected creating space between the more casual college-town clients looking for higher energy (louder) dining experiences and clients looking to enjoy an excellent meal and conversation without having to raise their voices across the table. We really appreciated the ambiance in our visit. It is not easy to make this type of arrangement work. If ambiance matters to your visit, I would recommend that you note on your reservation or at the front desk if you are looking for a quieter, more intimate dining experience. We look forward to returning.
