- CChristopherWorcestershire •3 reviews5.0Dined on 13 Nov 2024Afternoon tea was a delicious delight. We especially enjoyed the sandwiches and were pleasantly surprised to be offered a second helping if we wished . The scones were fresh and fluffy . We did however find the cakes a little too rich but of course realise, that this is down personal preference. We would have preferred an extra scone. We were impressed with the choices of teas and coffees but were disappointed that the pot of tea wasn’t left with us. We enjoyed the lovely tea china and Roisin was delightful and very knowledgable about all the components . Our only negative and this cannot be blamed on the hotel, was that the people at the next table had finished their afternoon tea and were conducting a business discussion and taking work calls very loudly . This did impact on the ambience and was difficult to ignore. It’s a difficult situation that I appreciate was not a hotel complaint but it did takeaway a little from our experience. Overall a lovely Afternoon Tea in a special location. A beautifully decorated mini desert plate was served to us at the end with Happy Anniversary iced onto it….a rather nice touch we thought . Thank youMore infoThe Lord Mayor's Lounge at The Shelbourne HotelPrice: Very Expensive• Afternoon Tea• South City Centre•4.8

- BCBerneCOrange County •10 reviews4.0Dined on 27 Jul 2024When making reservation (from USA) I thought that at 1:00pm I was making a lunch reservation. Only to find they only do afternoon tea on Sat and Sun. They did give us lunch but told us that we’d need to order one afternoon tea since it’s their policy! So an extra unnecessary cost. Not impressed by that, the very least it should say that on open Table. Staff were nice and apologized for the policy!More infoThe Gallery Lounge at The Westbury HotelPrice: Very Expensive• Afternoon Tea• South City Centre•4
