Best Afternoon Tea Restaurants in Wakefield

Excellent place to spend an evening. Food and tea were really good, refined and plentiful. Service was outstanding and there was nice soft live piano music creating a wonderful atmosphere. I would definitely suggest a visit to Bettys whenever you travel to York.

The hosts were extremely friendly and very welcoming. Our service (apologies didn't catch name - blonde girl) was so attentive and made our night great. Thank you so much. We are so sad you are closing as you are one of the best nights in leeds 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

For us, Bettys is a 'special treat' destination and we have tried to get a table before when visiting Harrogate but without success. It certainly lived up to our expectations. The atmosphere was amazing. The background piano music being played live in the room was just right and the service from all the staff we met was polite, friendly and attentive. The food served was beautifully presented and very tasty. All in all, it absolutely lived up to our expectations and we would certainly return again in the future.

Only one slight negative was that the table next to us was offered more tea several times. We tried to catch people’s eye to ask for more but eventually had to get up and ask a waitress for more. Very happy with how my daughter’s dairy allergy was dealt with though, and that she had a choice of menus she could choose from.
