Best American Restaurants in Fort Wright, Kentucky

We sat on the heated rooftop for the first time. It was cozy except the bench seat was very cold, so we sat on our coats. I recommend adding cushions to these seats during the winter. The dinner and service was great. We always order a plate of cookies at the end. We were bummed that the chocolate chip cookies in the assortment were replaced with new cookies that were still frozen inside - disappointing.

We had dinner at The Davidson on the day they opened, and since we eat here often - and enjoy it each time. Their cocktails are beautiful and delicious. One of the things I like best is that it's possible to have a yummy full dinner meal, a sandwich, or appetizer. The salads are generous and fresh. The sandwiches are high quality. It's a fun place to eat, lots of people watching both inside the restaurant, and those walking to and from Fountain Square. The only negative is that the music is usually too loud but if you ask they will often graciously turn down the volume.

Wonderful anniversary dinner location! Could come here for Marsala mushrooms alone. However the Burrata, house salad, ribeye, and charred onion mashed potatoes were excellent! And the butter cake for dessert…just WOW. One of us didn’t have room for dessert but once they tried it …well let’s just say I had a lot of help eating it! Thank you Losanti! Our experiences eating out on January 1 have typically not been good as the chef is rarely on site the day after New Year’s Eve but you folks were perfect!! We will be back…often!

Overall we had a great time. They were able to accommodate our party of 7 pretty easily. The gnocchi, roasted chicken, filet, mushroom flatbread, and stuffed mushrooms were all good. Cocktails were good. The lobster tail was just ok. Very chewy. But hey, we didn’t expect it to be phenomenal. Only real issue was it took forever to get drinks and food. The server tried her hardest but kitchen and bar seemed to be backed up and it was just very slow. She did apologize. Not her fault. We still had a nice time!

The broccoli and wings on the small plates were fantastic. Generous portions on the meatballs and spaghetti. Simple dish done well. Very solid service.
