Best American Restaurants in Hyde Park

We throughly enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere was very pleasant surprise! The lamb chops and fried chicken was a favorite for me!

From start to finish, Virtue was absolutely exceptional. We celebrated my birthday with a party of six, and the experience was unforgettable. Our server, Joe (I believe), was incredible—laid-back, attentive, and full of excellent recommendations that enhanced our meal. First off, the celebration of Black excellence in this restaurant is truly inspiring. It’s wonderful to see such a diverse team working seamlessly together, creating an atmosphere of collaboration and joy. Every dish we tried was outstanding. The table favorites included the biscuits with pimento cheese, the tender short ribs, and the baked chicken, which had phenomenal flavor and perfectly crispy skin. I can’t recommend the sides enough—they were all a hit! The desserts were something special—truly homemade in the best way. The red velvet cake was decadent, and the peach cobbler and banana pudding tasted like they were crafted with love by someone’s grandmother. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, whether it’s for another special occasion or just happy hour at their inviting bar. Huge thanks to the chefs and the team at Virtue!

We had a fantastic time as usual at Bronzeville Winery. I brought my cousin from out of town who loved it and called the place “ a whole vibe”. We definitely LOVE the DJ and his selection of music but the music is a little too loud to enjoy your table conversation.

The food was amazing and the service was even better. I will be visiting again. The salmon deviled eggs were chef’s kiss!

Such great food. Service from jerithon was very attentive. The food really does feel like grandmas kitchen. I will be back!
