The Lexington is more than a restaurant, it’s an institution. Located on the corner of Lexington Parkway and Grand Avenue, this St. Paul community was the most fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. The St. Paul elite lived just blocks away and the first electric trolley brought visitors up and down Grand Avenue. The Lexington opened in 1935, after the end of prohibition, and was a popular neighborhood bar to gather and socialize.     We had a wonderful experience. Since it was Holiday time and we were seated by the large windows , we had a great view of the Holiday lights as a bonus. Our server was excellent and all the food we had was very good! A definite go to place . This was not our first time there - consistent great food, ambience and service. Highly recommend.

    The four of us had exceptional food. The portions are extremely large. My husband and I shared the pork chop dinner and felt satisfied with just having half the meal and adding either a soup or a salad. The dessert portions are also huge, definitely a share size dessert. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is kind of loud. This is not a cheap restaurant but very good food and you get what you paid for.

    Mallards is our neighborhood restaurant in Inver Grove Heights. It’s our go to place for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. I can’t say enough about the food the service the ambience. We love it.
